As a handicraft, the bronze mirror is the epitome of Han Dynasty art,and the inscriptions on the bronze mirror are also of great research value.Inscriptions on bronze mirrors refer to the characters cast on the reverse side of the mirror. In this paper, the unearthed bronze mirror inscriptions of the Eastern Han Dynasty are taken as the research object. The inscriptions of bronze mirrors of the Eastern Han Dynasty are all from published catalogs, and the main sources are Han Mirror Inscription Calligraphy and Han Mirror Culture Research. The development of bronze mirrors in Han Dynasty reflects the development of calligraphy in Han Dynasty from the side.It is an important aspect that should not be ignored in the study of calligraphy in Han Dynasty. At present, there are few research directions on Jingming in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and most of the articles start from the Angle of philology, textual research on the contents of the inscriptions, and history,so the discussion on the artistic value of jingming calligraphy in the Eastern Han Dynasty is relatively weak.Firstly, according to the longitudinal view, the paper divides the Eastern Han Dynasty Jingming into three periods, namely early, middle and late, and three types of writing style, namely seal and official style, official style and variant style. It is found that the development and evolution of Jingming style has the characteristics of continuity, lag and natural decoration. Then convert to the horizontal view, and compare the Eastern Han Dynasty Jingming inscriptions with other carrier inscriptions of the same time,so as to show the complexity and imbalance of the evolution of characters in the process of scribe change, and the characteristics of the development of Jingming is relatively lagging. Finally, with the inspiration of mirror inscriptions in the Eastern Han Dynasty and calligraphy and seal cutting in the Ming and Qing dynasties, more possibilities of calligraphy and seal cutting art creation are explored.
