In the history of Chinese film development,the "new period" is a stage with special significance.At that time,not only did film creation have great changes,but also film distribution and screening had significant changes.For a long time,in the research of film history in the new era,many scholars have produced impressive academic achievements in the fields of film creation,film distribution and screening,but pay less attention to the film technology that plays a fundamental role.Therefore,in view of the fact that Shanghai film technology can represent the higher level of China’s film technology in the new period,this paper chooses it as the research object to discuss the development status,influence and significance of Shanghai film technology in the new period,aiming at completing a technical film history that can be linked with the history of aesthetic film,economic film and social film in the new period.From 1977 to 1979,with the beginning of the work of putting things right,China’s film industry began to move towards a "recovery period".In a series of "recovery period" practices carried out by Shanghai Film Technology Institute,photographic equipment and recording equipment have completed the task of "appropriate innovation",while film technology,"auxiliary" equipment,printing equipment and projection equipment have achieved the goal of "laying a foundation".In addition,various film equipment developed in Shanghai during this period also contributed to the implementation of the "double hundred" policy in the field of film creation in China.From 1980 to 1985,after the restoration of the previous period,China’s film industry began the process of "modernization".In a series of "modernization" practices carried out by Shanghai film technology,the film equipment developed by Shanghai has solved these seemingly contradictory problems,whether in terms of artistic quality and economic benefits or learning from outside and independence,thus realizing the "Chinese style road of film technology modernization".In addition,Shanghai film technology also provides necessary support for the improvement of the quantity and quality of film creation,and the improvement of the quantity and quality of projection units in film distribution and projection.From 1986 to 1993,due to the rise of other entertainment methods,the decline of China’s film market became more and more obvious,and the film industry began to gradually transform to "entertainment".In a series of "entertainment" practices carried out by Shanghai Film Technology Institute,on the one hand,Shanghai has fulfilled the requirements of "improving the technical quality of conventional films" by virtue of its photographic equipment and printing equipment,and achieved the goal of "developing new forms of films" by virtue of its projection equipment,on the other hand,its own survival has been guaranteed by transformation and production of "eating" products.In addition,the practice of Shanghai film technology at that time also created a group of "new audiences" who attach importance to the experience of watching films. |
