| The basic use of interrogative pronouns is to express questions, but with the development of language and the need of communication, interrogative pronouns also gradually derive non interrogative uses. The non interrogative uses of interrogative pronouns, because of their high frequency and complexity of use, have always been a research hotspot in syntax and a common phenomenon in world languages.Through the study of relevant literature,it is found that the research on the non interrogative use of interrogative pronouns has yielded fruitful results in modern Chinese, cross language comparison,Chinese as a foreign language and other aspects, and its Uyghur translation research needs to be further supplemented and improved. This article takes the non interrogative usage of the interrogative pronoun "how" as the research object, and sorts out the expansion process of the non interrogative usage of the interrogative pronoun "how",and on this basis, focuses on exploring and researching its translation. From the perspective of linguistic typology, based on a large number of language samples, and taking the principle of making the best use of everything in the language library as the breakthrough point, this paper examines the non interrogative use of interrogative pronouns within the scope of world language variation, combs the non interrogative use of interrogative pronouns "how",and finds that the non interrogative use of "how" can be divided into nominal and non nominal categories according to whether it has the function of "addressing",After sorting out the classification of the non interrogative usage of the interrogative pronoun "how",a comprehensive analysis of its Uyghur translation is focused on the non interrogative usage of "how".Through investigation,it is found that when translating the non interrogative usage of the interrogative pronoun "how" into Uyghur language, two translation strategies are mainly used:one is to use a corresponding transformation strategy,Translate the non interrogative usage of interrogative pronouns in the source language into a form containing interrogative pronouns or demonstrative pronouns in the target language.Another approach is to use flexible interactive transformation strategies to omit or translate the non interrogative usage in the source language into other forms in the target language.According to the principle of making the most of things in language library typology,it can be found that the non interrogative use of the interrogative pronoun "how" in most cases requires the use of interrogative pronouns when translating into Uyghur language.interrogative pronouns can not only be used to the maximum extent possible in Chinese, but also in the process of translating into Uyghur, translators will use interrogative pronouns to the maximum extent possible,This indicates that the translation process is influenced by the principle of making the most of things, and compared to the situation without interrogative pronouns, the possibility of using interrogative pronouns is greater. Therefore,in Uyghur translation,a large number of translation results containing interrogative pronouns will be presented, which is also in line with the principle of making the most of things in language libraries. |
