The Study Of Character Construction In Domestic Online Suspense Dramas

As one of the important components of online self-produced dramas,online suspense dramas have been gradually emerging and growing since 2014.This type of web drama has been warmly received and loved by the audience for its ups and downs,suspenseful plots,interlocking reasoning and novel and unique aesthetic experience.It has emerged not only because of its appealing plot and plots,but also because of the cultural and aesthetic characteristics it carries.This type of web drama provokes viewers to think and discuss by expressing and exploring human nature and social issues.At the same time,web-suspense dramas continue to innovate and break through,constantly challenging traditional aesthetic standards and bringing viewers a novel visual and aesthetic experience.As one of the emerging forms of artistic expression,web-based suspense dramas have profoundly influenced the majority of the people,becoming not only a popular entertainment topic but also a cultural phenomenon worthy of study.The main research problem of this paper is the character construction strategy of domestic online suspense dramas,and the research methods adopted are: content analysis,and comparative analysis.Firstly,in the introduction,the background and significance of the selected topic,the research review and the research content are sorted out and summarized.The second chapter summarizes and analyzes the concept,genre presentation and development characteristics of online suspense dramas.Chapter3 investigates the narrative strategy of characterization in domestic online suspense dramas,not only analyzing the genre presentation of characterization and the direction of character relationships,but also exploring the perspective of multiple forms of character narratives.Chapter 4 analyzes the audiovisual symbols of character image in domestic online suspense dramas.The three-dimensional visual symbols enrich the character image and aesthetics of online suspense dramas,while the aural symbols that fit the situation and atmosphere strengthen the suspense setting and the emotional expression of characters in the dramas.Chapter 5 analyzes the value construction of characters from the perspective of character image.Current online suspense dramas construct the value of character image from four aspects,such as looking at social issues,reflecting and questioning human nature,portraying and analyzing the psychology of characters,and focusing on the underclass marginalized groups in the city.Finally,we summarize and reflect on the character construction strategies of current domestic online suspense dramas,and expect that this genre will continue to develop in the future.
