The Application Of Plant Fossil Image In Print Creation

Plant fossils bring the distant past to the present,has its unique artistic language and aesthetic idea.In addition to the scientific beauty of fossils based on natural sciences such as minerals,rocks and paleontology,which pays attention to the regularity of their origin,occurrence,composition and structure,there is also the artistic beauty of fossils which focuses on the visual expression of natural fossils such as shape and color,pattern and texture.Plant fossils have a long history,and most of their research works have studied and commented on the effects of fossils on earth history,strata and paleoclimate from a scientific perspective,but there is a lack of special research on the application of plant fossils in aesthetic,image research and creative practice.Based on the image as the research object of fossil plants,during the graduate student’s personal creation as the main practice exploration object,using the method of observation,literature research and case analysis,discusses the image visual feature of fossil plants,summed up the plant fossils in the generation process of printmaking features,thus it is extended to the author’s creation,expand innovation,personal painting language It tries to find a broader creative space in print language and working method.The article is mainly divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly describes the research background and significance of this topic,the research status at home and abroad,as well as the research purpose and content.The second chapter analyzes the visual characteristics of plant fossil images from the perspectives of composition,shape,color and texture form from the perspective of the visual level of plant fossil images and their historical and cultural background.The third chapter,from the visual expression of plant fossils in the previous chapter to the inside,relates the formation process of plant fossils to printmaking art,analyzes the printmaking characteristics in the generation of plant fossils step by step from two aspects of "plate" media and impressions,and interprets the inherent artistic characteristics of plant fossils.Chapter iv the formation of personal contact with their own creative practice research works,from fossil impressions in the digital painting language transformation and digital hand-painted transformation in the silk screen print this two ways and the phase of detail in the author’s own engraving how subjectively by using corresponding element characteristics of fossil plants,Thus to explore the subject and the spirit of the author of the painting language.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.It summarizes the content of the article and affirms the positive impact of the unique visual effects of plant fossils on his creation,so as to make the author more clear about the origin of his creation,clarify his creative thinking,get some enlightenment and spiritual guidance on the way of creation,and promote the progress of his personal creation.And the deficiencies of writing research and practical creation of this topic.
