| Dazu Rock Carvings are the representative works of late grotto art and its expression features,compared with other types of grottoes,are more unique.Based on virtual reality technology,this paper explores the application of the dynamic transformation of Dazu Rock Carvings expression with statue expression of Dazu Rock Carvings as research object.The practical steps of this paper are as follows: ontological study--transformation method--application flow--concrete practice.There exist two problems to be solved in the practice: how to analyze the expression features of Dazu Rock Carvings and how to dynamically transform and apply the expressions of Dazu Rock Carvings based on virtual reality technology.In regard to the first problem,the second chapter of this paper conducts classification research of statues,focusing on cliffside sculpture groups in Beishan and Baodingshan.Through the analysis of interpretation,connotation and manifestation of expressions,image analysis and comparative research methods are used to find out the essence and characteristics behind the expressions of Dazu Rock Carvings as well as the social factors which help form such characteristics.Dividing the statues of Dazu Rock Carvings into sacred space and earthly space,this paper emphatically analyzes Buddha statues which account for the highest proportion in sacred space to summarize the aesthetic characteristics of Dazu Rock Carving’s expression.Thus,it is concluded that the expressions of cliffside statues of the Dazu Rock Carvings mainly in Beishan and Baodingshan,after the style evolution in the late Tang dynasty,the Five Dynasties and Song Dynasty,depict the contents with the characteristics of scale and diversification.In addition,the selection of Buddha statues is no longer based on the Buddhist paradigm,and the objects of expressions are turned to common people,which reflects the evolutionary characteristics of civilianization.Among them,Guanyin statue expressions are mostly based on the images of contemporary women,expressing the yearning for wonderful spiritual quality of feminine.In the process of expression shaping of Dazu Rock Carvings,mundane spiritual thoughts are integrated into Buddhist statues,and the worship of truth,goodness and beauty constitutes the earthly aesthetic characteristics of Dazu Rock Carvings.The second problem is “how to dynamically transform and apply the expressions of Dazu Rock Carvings based on virtual reality technology”.The third chapter of this paper analyzes the application status of virtual reality technology and the constitutive principle of virtual display application,and believes that the subject,object and media of virtual display application are audience,space and virtual reality technology respectively.In the design process,the needs of the audience should be respected,the principles of immersion,reducibility and primary and secondary of the space should be emphasized,and the fitness of relevant hardware and software should be understood.Practical creation should start from its own expertise,use virtual reality to show uniqueness,and specify the production process from two directions of "interaction" and "dynamic".It is also necessary to make use of the narration and interactivity of images to display content harmoniously,and establish the virtual display application of Dazu Rock carvings expressions by means of digital virtual images and other multimedia assembly.The fourth chapter introduces in detail the production methods and processes in specific applications such as 3D model production,human-computer interaction,virtual image production,and the display,application and design of virtual reality in the process of practical creation.In view of virtual reality technology,the paper summarizes up the expression features of Dazu Rock Carvings and conducts research of dynamic transformation and application to make a contribution to the heritage and innovation of grotto statue art. |
