| Information Technology(IT)revolutionizes education,especially language teaching and learning.The combination of face-to-face instruction with online learning claims the emergence of Blended Learning(BL),which draws wide attention from both experts and teachers at home and abroad.To solve the problem of separation between language usage and language use,Professor Wen Qiufang put forward Production-Oriented Approach(POA).This thesis explores a blended learning model of English among 65 vocational college students guided by POA.English reading class is taken as an example.Questionnaire and interview are used as the research instruments.Data are analyzed by SPSS 22.0.And the research questions relate to the status quo of English reading for vocational college students,effects of blended learning model on students’ English reading performance as well as varying degrees of blended learning model’s effects on students of different English levels.It is found that vocational college students’ English proficiency is poor in general.Most of them are not interested and weakly motivated in English learning.And blended learning model guided by POA can really improve students’ reading performance.The effects of blended learning model differ in students of different English levels.Furthermore,the blended learning model promotes the improvement of students’ autonomous learning ability. |
