Pain empathy refers to "feeling the feelings of others",which is an emotional experience that can feel the pain state of others, and plays an important role in people’s daily behavior and social interaction. In recent years, sports has attracted public attention, and little attention has been paid to whether physical exercise can promote individual pain empathy.Power is divided into traitful power and stateful power, and whether the sense of power reduces people’s pain empathy or promotes the accuracy of empathy needs to be further studied. Therefore, this paper combines behavioral and ERP techniques to explore the effect of sense of power on pain empathy in sports-nonsports college students using two studies.Study 1 through the Generalized Sense of Power Scale screening out high traitful power and low traitful power subjects each 35,using 2(traitful power: high traitful power, low traitful power)× 2(major: sports college students,non-sports college students)× 2(picture type: pain picture,non-pain picture)mixed experiment design, traitful power and major for intergroup variables, picture type for within-group variables, dependent variables for the response to pain pictures, accuracy and average EEG components(N1,P2,N2,P3,LPP).The results showed that:(1)Sports students induced larger LPP amplitude than non-sports students;(2)Subjects with a low traitful power were shorter when responding to pain pictures;(3)The pain pictures induced smaller N2 amplitude and larger P3 and LPP amplitude than non-pain pictures;(4)The left electrode induced smaller N1 and N2 amplitude and larger P2 amplitude than the right electrode.Study 2 by word search task induce 70 subjects stateful power, using 2(stateful power:high stateful power, low stateful power)× 2(self involvement: self involvement,non-self involvement)×2(major: sports college students,non-sports college students)×2(picture type:pain pictures,non-pain pictures)mixed experimental design, stateful power and major were inter-group variables,self-involvement and picture type were within-group variables, dependent variables were the response to the pain picture, accuracy and average EEG components(N1,P2,N2,P3,LPP).The results show that:(1)Sports students have faster response and higher accuracy rate than non-sports students;(2)Low stateful power induced larger P2 and LPP amplitude than high stateful power;(3)The correct rate of self-involvement is higher than that without self-involvement,subjects who were self-involved when pictures for pain pictures were shorter than those without self-involvement,higher accuracy rate,When the picture is non-painful,self-involvement induced larger LPP amplitude than no self-involvement;(4)Pain pictures induce a larger P3 amplitude than non-painful pictures;(5)Having self-involvement induced a larger N1 amplitude than no self-involvement,and the low stateful power during self-involvement induced a larger P2 amplitude;(6)The left brain of the non-sports subjects induced larger P3 and LPP amplitudes than the right brain, and the right brain of the sports subjects induced a larger LPP amplitude. This study reached the following conclusions:(1)Sports students have stronger pain empathy ability than non-sports students, which is mainly reflected in the sports students have faster response to pain judgment and higher correct rate, which can induce larger LPP amplitude;(2)Subjects with low traitful power had more pain empathy than high traitful power and shorter responses to pain picture judgments;(3)Participants with low stateful power had higher pain empathy than high stateful power, and low stateful power than high stateful power induced larger P2 and LPP amplitude;(4)The interaction between self-involvement and stateful power was significant, and self-involvement can influence the role of stateful power on pain empathy. No self-involvement without self-involvement induced smaller N1 amplitude, and low stateful power induced larger P2 amplitude under self-involvement;(5)The lateralization effect of the brain was obvious: the left brain induced smaller N1 and N2 amplitudes and larger P2 amplitude than the right brain. The left brain of the non-sports subjects induced larger P3 and LPP amplitudes than the right brain, and the right brain of the sports subjects induced a larger LPP amplitude.
