| The Hezhou area is located at the intersection of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Loess Plateau,connecting the Northwest Corridor and the Tibetan-Yi Corridor.It is the only place for the Silk Road Qinghai Road,and has been a place for many ethnic groups to migrate and thrive since ancient times.In the Yuan Dynasty,along with the great migration and flow of ethnic groups,Mongolian,Hui people,Uighur,Sartagt and others entered this area one after another,settled down with the Han and Tibetan and restored the social economy of this area,brought new changes to the ethnic relations in Hezhou,and provided conditions for the exchange and mutual learning among multiple ethnic groups.In the Yuan Dynasty,the Tibetan region was included in the jurisdiction of the unified Central Dynasty,and the Tibetan Pacification Commissioner of the Tibetan region was set up in Hezhou.Today,the Tibetan settlement areas of Gansu,Qinghai and northwest Sichuan were all under its administration,making Hezhou region an important frontier region governing the Tibetan region.The administration of the Yuan rulers in Hezhou region had a profound impact on the development of ethnic relations in this region.Under the unprecedented unification of the Yuan Dynasty,the rulers attached great importance to the restoration of social production,and maintained an inclusive attitude towards the cultures and religions of various ethnic groups.The Han people emphasized agricultural production,Mongolia and Tibetan made a living by animal husbandry,Hui people,Sartagt people,Uighur people attach great importance to commerce,but also developed handicraft industry.The different economic structure and cultural life of various ethnic groups promoted the economic and cultural exchanges and mutual learning between each other.In this process,the phenomenon of ethnic integration occurred,such as the integration of Hui people and Han people,and the integration of Sartagt people and Mongolian people,laying the foundation for the multi-ethnic distribution pattern in Hezhou later.The conscious and close communication and integration of all ethnic groups have promoted their sense of cultural,ethnic and national identity. |
