Among animal sculptures,horse sculptures have an important position.For a long time,horses have been endowed with personified spiritual qualities,and they have always been the objects that sculptors are willing to express.The two different artistic contexts of China and the West have caused differences in the formal language of horse sculptures.In the current globalized era,Chinese horse sculptures are facing the influence of Western art,and it is particularly important to seek a point of convergence between tradition and the West.This paper conducts a comparative study on the visual styles of the typical representative horse sculpture art works in China and the West,expounds the difference in artistic characteristics and the cultural connotation behind it in the creation process.Then I think about the influence of Chinese and Western horse sculptures’ creative consciousness and expression techniques on self-creation.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter analyzes and combs the evolution of the Chinese and Western horse sculpture form languages ??respectively,and briefly summarizes its main characteristics.China pays attention to "likeness" and the West pays attention to "likeness".The second chapter focuses on the differences in visual styles of Chinese and Western horse sculptures,and analyzes the differences between appearance and truth,square and circle,concise generalization,and complexity in the physical characteristics of Chinese and Western horse sculptures through examples.It is expressed in the form and structure.For the difference between the sense of movement and the sense of rhythm,the sense of movement in China is strong,and the sense of natural rhythm in China is more relaxed and the sense of rhythm in China is relaxed.The West pays attention to shape creation,while China pays attention to line engraving.The West pays attention to volume shaping;the difference in material texture is reflected in the rich materials in China,including earth,wood,stone,jade,copper and other materials,while the western materials are single,mainly marble and Bronze is dominated;the difference in the layout of the scene is manifested in the multiple permutations and combinations in China and the single appearance in the West.Chapter Three discusses the deep-seated reasons that influence the formal language of Chinese and Western horse sculptures,that is,the differences in cultural significance.First,analyze the difference in value orientation from the difference of symbolic meaning.China emphasizes collective will and the West emphasizes individualism.Secondly,analyze the reasons for the difference in visual style from the difference between aesthetic consciousness and philosophical concept.Chinese aesthetic consciousness is mainly influenced by "the harmony between man and nature",and it pursues "expression" and "likeness".Western acceptability and scientific concepts and the influence of humanism pursue "imitation" and "reproduction." The fourth chapter is about the author’s conception,concept and expression method of the artistic creation of horse sculpture.Because of the symbolic nature of horses for a long time,the image of horses has become a specific cultural symbol and an object that artists are happy to express.A large number of excellent works provide references and references for the author’s artistic creation.While drawing on the expression techniques of ancient horse sculptures,the author also uses Western modeling language to illustrate the inspiration and influence of Chinese and Western horse sculptures on the author’s creation. |
