The Comparative Study Of Kyrgyz And Chinese Lexicon Involving Horse

Language is a carrier of national culture,and also it is a significant part of the culture. The exchange between different language and culture is a mutual process based on a quid pro quo basis. With the implement of “Silk Road” strategies, the cultural exchanges between China and Central Asia are becoming more and more closely. More and more students are coming and learning Chinese and Chinese culture, meanwhile, the writer believes that the language and culture of Kyrgyzstan should be learned and known by every single Chinese. Mutual understanding is the best way to be close to each other and make a better communication. This paper mainly made a comparison and analysis on the horse related lexical items of two countries, and also made a brief comparison and analysis on horse related proverbs of two countries. By comparison and analysis, this paper revealed the difference between this two countries’ language culture.Horse related lexical items and proverbs reflect the mode of thinking, values, and cultural connotations of this group who are using these lexical items and proverbs from different angles. Kyrgyz, a majority ethnicity of Kyrgyzstan, is a nomads, the lexical items of ranching are very rich. Horse related lexical items and proverbs occupies an important place in the language culture of the Kyrgyzstan. Through the comparison and analysis on the horse related lexical items and proverbs between China and Kyrgyzstan, this paper revealed the characteristics of Kyrgyzstan culture on horse, let people know the difference between Kyrgyzstan culture on horse and Chinese culture on horse.The first chapter of this paper described the basic situation, purpose, significance, objects, methods and related research review of the research; The second chapter focuses on the analysis on the differences about the word-formation of the horse related lexical items of two languages; The third chapter made a systematic explanation on the sorts and characteristics of the horse related lexical items in two languages, let people get to know the classification methods and related cultural background knowledge; The fourth chapter, the writer made a comparison analysis on the vocabularies of horse accessories in two languages, let people know the difference culture on horse in Kyrgyzstan and China; At last, the fifth chapter, the writer collected some proverbs on horse both in China and Kyrgyzstan, made a brief comparison and analysis,and then briefly describes the differences of the cultural aspects of the two national morality, the way of doing things and the spiritual pursuit.
