From Figurative To Abstract—The Modeling Exploration Of The Bionic Ceramic Utensils <Be A Feast To The Eye>

The mechanical production characterized by standardization in modern society has been unable to meet people’s growing demand for personalized consumption.Compared with the current utensil design concept that "function" or "concept" is paramount,bionic utensil design provides a new way of thinking and method for utensil modeling design.The design method of bionic objects that imitate natural forms has a long history,and it is common in traditional Chinese ceramic shapes and has endured for a long time.Traditional bionic ceramic utensils not only contain the rules and methods of utensil shape design,but also contain traditional creation aesthetic ideas such as "making utensils like images","respecting one’s own and serving things,and using them to benefit others","the unity of Taoism and utensils".The source of ideas for modern ceramic design.The research motivation of this paper has two points: first,by combing the literature of traditional bionic ceramic utensils,explore the shape rules and methods from the concrete to the abstract,and guide the author to design personalized bionic ceramic utensils that can meet the needs of contemporary spirit in practice.This paper mainly uses literature analysis method to summarize historical experience;field investigation method focuses on the current practice dynamics of bionic modeling design and social consumption pain points;and finally conducts creative practice,forming a relatively complete personal research results of bionic ceramic ware modeling design.This article is divided into four parts.In the first part,from the collected literature and physical data,comb the research content and method of bionic ceramic artifacts modeling,and propose the research value of bionic ceramic artifacts modeling.The second part expounds the classification and modeling principles of bionic ceramic utensils.The third part,first with green pepper as the prototype of the bionic design,to create the ceramic utensils "delicious" series of works.Secondly,based on the concrete and bionic shape of green pepper,under the guidance of the dialectically unified traditional artifact aesthetic thought of "shape","function" and "aesthetic",it is simplified,refined and summarized.The fourth part summarizes the design method in the process of creative practice,and explores the "principle" of the abstract bionic shape design of green pepper,that is,the design evolution from the figurative form to the abstract form.That is,under the guidance of the unified creation concept of "use for beauty" and "view for beauty",we design the image in mind rather than imitating the objective image.In this article,by exploring the modeling method of bionic ceramic utensils,the author has a profound understanding of the artistic aesthetic value of bionic ceramic utensils.In the current social background of cultural globalization and homogenization,the traditional creation design thought,as an important part of the traditional culture,is an important basis for establishing national confidence,cultural confidence and design localization.Therefore,through theoretical research and creation practice,the author aims to explore the modern development of traditional creation methods,make a modest contribution to the promotion of traditional culture,and also provide some valuable references for the current design of ceramic utensils.
