Study On Gong Qinggao’s Calligraphy

Gong Qinggao,as the representative of calligraphy art in Ba-Shu area in the late Qing Dynasty,played an important role at that time and later generations.His works have a strong personal appearance,and most of his works are famous for cursive regular script.And it has a very important inspiration for the innovation of modern and contemporary calligraphy art.Calligraphy is not only the embodiment of techniques,but also the expression of inner feelings.Gong Qinggao is not fettered by the secular in his personal artistic style.in the era when the cabinet style is popular,it is commendable to be able to seek his true self.His "my Book is extremely ugly and undelicate" embodies his artistic thoughts.He embodies his artistic thoughts in calligraphy,painting,poetry and prose,which reminds me of Su Dongpo.although the two are far apart,they are all for the pursuit of the model of "the true self" after all.This is the reason why Gong Qinggao attracts me.At a time when people are impetuous,don’t we need people like this to learn?Perhaps this is the emotion and destination of the literati.Otherwise,it may be as Mr.Nan Huaijin said: "to be noble and afraid of poverty" is also ridiculous.In view of the fact that the current academic research on Gong Qinggao is not very rich,what is known is very little,and the analysis of his works is vague,and the so-called stories are mostly folk conjecture,and there is no true and detailed historical basis.Because the literature introduced is not sufficient,based on this,this paper collates Gong Qinggao’s works.This paper narrates its cultural background,the textual research of related methods and the gains and losses of calligraphy style analysis,hoping to enrich the theoretical research of calligraphy learning and make some contributions.
