| The period of Wei-Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties was the stage when Chinese literature and art went from bud to flourish.Social turmoil broke the spiritual shackles of Confucianism,the rise of Metaphysics and the introduction of Buddhism has injected fresh air into the development of literature and art.Literature shifted from focusing on practicality to focusing on aesthetics,individuation was gradually displayed,and art began to awaken and mature.The Wei-Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties experienced several changes of dynasties in just 369 years,which was an important period for the development of literature and art in ancient China,especially in the Southern Dynasties.In the 169-year history of the Southern Dynasty,55 years was occupied by Xiao Liang.Throughout the development of Xiao Liang’s literature and art,the creation was concentrated in the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang.Li Yanshou had commented in the Preface to the History of Southern Literature: "From the beginning of social unrest in Central China,five savage ethnic groups disturbed Central China,and literati creation was perfect at this time.In the Liang Dynasty,this trend became more prevalent.It seems that talented scholars gathered here because the emperor of that time was very elegant and liked articles very much.Every time Emperor Wu of Liang came here,he ordered his ministers to write poems and gave gold and silk to those who wrote good articles.So do the official Sir,all know self-encouragement." It is pointed out that under the organization and advocacy of Emperor Wu of Liang,the literary and artistic atmosphere of Xiao Liang was flourishing.In addition,judging from the works passed down and later evaluation,in the Southern Dynasty,Xiao Liang period literati works are the largest and most influential.And at this time there appeared three royal literary groups and Shi Pin and The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons and other comprehensive literary works.Xiao Ziyun,as the favorite of Emperor Wu of Liang,was one of the main forces in the literary circle of Xiao Liang period and had an important influence on Liang dynasty’s literary style.The thesis is divided into Four Chapters:The First Chapter examines the background of Xiao Ziyun’s life and his life story,studies the background of Xiao Ziyun’s time and his personal situation,so as to know people and understand the world.As a member of the royal family of Southern Qi,Xiao received a good education as a child and was well versed in literature and art.His father,Xiao Ni,taught his children to keep a low profile and keep a low profile,so that they could keep their lives and hide their talents in the political chaos that Qi and Liang succeeded.This philosophy of life also influenced Xiao’s character and creation.From the usurpation of Emperor Ming of Southern Qi to the succession of the Qi and Liang dynasties,this unusual experience inspired Xiao’s creativity and enthusiasm.Xiao Ziyun’s literary and artistic creation was concentrated in the early and middle period of Liang dynasty.During his association with the royal families such as Xiao Yan,Emperor Jianwen of Liang and Xiao Yi,Xiao Ziyun’s literary and artistic thoughts and creations also changed constantly,and gradually intermingled with Liang Dynasty’s literary and artistic atmosphere.The Second Chapter mainly discusses Xiao Ziyun’s literary achievements,and based on the comprehensive collection of his existing works,makes an overview and concrete research from three aspects: his poetry creation,his articles creation and his temple lyrics creation,discover an important aspect of its neglected litterateur.Xiao Ziyun’s poetic creation is characterized by skillful use of imagery and allusion,neat antithesis and breakthrough of sound and rhythm,beautiful diction and many use of modified vocabulary,as well as practical practical writing and poetic parallel prose,among them,the writing of applied prose is also literary,and the prose of parallel prose is a typical representative of the prose of parallel prose in the Southern dynasty,together with Shen Yue’s lyrics,they form the main support of the elegant and popular music of Xiao Liang.The Third Chapter studies Xiao Ziyun’s achievement in calligraphy,discusses his calligraphy creation practice and contribution to calligraphy theory,and further expounds his important position in calligraphy.The Qiliang style of calligraphy,which was led by Xiao Qifang and Xiao Yan,played an important role in guiding and promoting Xiao Ziyun’s calligraphy creation.Xiao Ziyun’s calligraphy creation has obvious transformation: according to Xiao Ziyun’s self-description,he learned Langya Wang’s calligraphy in the early stage,and his writing style was flexible and elegant.Xiaozhuan Feibai is the most outstanding part of Xiao Ziyun’s calligraphy creation,which can be called the swan song of the calligraphy world,xiao Ziyun used fetal hair to make the brush strokes,Baji country thousands of miles to seek books and“ Xiao ” word to avoid fire anecdotes,showing his superb calligraphy skills and later generations of his love of calligraphy.He also influenced the tastes of the calligraphy world by discussing books with Emperor Wu of Liang,changing the worship of Wang Xianzhi from the Jin and Song dynasties,and pushing Wang Xizhi’s calligraphy to a higher position,it laid the foundation for Wang Xizhi’s calligraphy in the Tang dynasty.The Fourth Chapter summarizes his achievements in literature and art,and discusses his influence on the development of literature and art in Liang dynasty.Xiao Ziyun’s poetic creation has exerted great influence on the development of literature and art in the following aspects: his poetic creation seeks new ideas and changes,leading the transformation of the ancient and modern styles of Liang dynasty’s poetry,his prose creation forms are exquisite,promoting the poetic style of prose;His ballads for shooting birds and Xianghe corrected Shen Yue’s shortcomings of using simple words and “Praising the beauty of virtue without ordering the production of the dynasty”,and promoted the refinement of refined music and folk songs,his calligraphy helped to change the style of Liang dynasty’s calligraphy from “Thin today” to“Fat and thin together”,liang dynasty calligraphy from “Jinyan” to “Ancient quality”aesthetic transition.In a word,Xiao Ziyun’s literary creation not only inherited the literary style of Southern Qi,but also inspired the new style of Nanchen and Sui and Tang dynasties,making Liang Dynasty’s literary style the key to change.By studying Xiao Ziyun’s life story,literary creation and calligraphy achievements,this paper analyzes the relationship between Xiao Ziyun’s literary thought and creation and Liang dynasty’s literary atmosphere,it is helpful for us to understand Xiao Ziyun himself,his literary creation and thought,and to study Liang Dynasty’s literary atmosphere. |
