A Study Of The Tree Method In Landscape Painting By Li Keran

Li Keran was one of the most representative painters in the movement to transform Chinese painting after the founding of New China.Faced with the general environment of breaking down the old and establishing the new,he chose to transform Chinese painting by starting with landscape painting,taking the lead in getting out of the ivory tower,returning to nature,sketching in pairs,moving towards real life,and exploring a new look for landscape painting by drawing on the strengths of others in an international context and ink and brush formulas.In his relentless thinking and practice,Li Keran built up his own unique style of landscape painting,creating a paradigm of change from tradition.In this paper,the evolution of the tree method in his landscape paintings will be sorted out in a chronological manner,in order to clarify the specific process of innovation in his tree method,and then to explore the unique path of innovation in his landscape paintings.
