Exploration Into The Calligraphy Art In Zhang Ji Document

Remnant Paper Documents of Loulan has always been the research object in academic circles since its excavation.However,there are few case studies on the representative calligraphers."Zhang Ji" is one of the most famous calligraphers of Loulan,whose series of documents are typical in Remnant Paper Documents of Lou lan.In the academic circle,the research of Zhang Ji Document is not in-depth enough,and most of the existing articles are about textual research.The research objects of this paper are 11 main documents in Zhang Ji Documents,which are relatively recognized as a series of documents from "Zhang Ji" in the academic circle.This group of documents is made of Zhang Ji’s private letter draft and scraps of writing.It involves regular script,running script,and cursive script,and there are a variety of mixed styles in several documents.Therefore,it can be proved that the Wei-Jin period are in the transitional period of the evolution of the calligraphy style,and all kinds of the calligraphy styles are retained,both the ancient and clumsy side and the new research and clever side.Because most of the legacy of calligraphy by scholars in Wei-Jin period are mostly imitations,especially when Wang Xizhi’s authentic work of calligraphy has not been found yet,and the Zhang ji Document is a proof of calligraphy by scholars in Wei-Jin period,so it is a rare legacy of that period.We can close the distance between us and Wei and Jin calligraphy and enjoy the authentic work of calligraphy by scholars in Wei-Jin period by doing a research on the Zhang ji Documents.Zhang Ji’s document partly conveys his writing state: a grass-roots official conveyed his concern for relatives and friends through letters in his spare time,and a calligrapher engaged in seemingly boring repetitive practice under the attitude of excellence.His document shows a part of "Zhang Ji" ’s daily life.In the current exhibition hall culture which is full of huge works,we urgently need a calligrapher like "Zhang Ji" to pull us out of our excited creative mood and bring us to our daily life.In close contact with the authentic calligraphy of the Wei and Jin scholars,we can cultivate the diversity of Wei and Jin calligraphy,so as to enrich the previous Wei and Jin calligraphy,looking for new creative elements,and then complement the current calligraphy learning and creation.
