Research On The Application Of Installation Art In Western Concept Photography

Throughout the creative practice of contemporary western conceptual photography,more and more photographers have begun to use installation media as the main form of expression in their conceptual photography works.With the assistance of installation media,the topics and creative forms of western conceptual photography have become richer and more diversified,which has also triggered new speculation on the ethics,visual culture and social value of images,as well as photography in the traditional sense,And photography in the context of contemporary art.As a new form of artistic expression,the western concept photography integrated with installation art has obvious avantgarde artistic characteristics,has visual expression forms that were not found in the previous photography art,and has an extensive breakthrough in the concept expression of photography creators.At present,there are few systematic theories combing and summarizing the application of installation art to concept photography in China.This study starts from the application of installation art in conceptual photography,which emerged in the western photography field in the second half of the 20th century,and discusses and studies the performance of "photographic illustration" generated by the combination of installation art in western conceptual photography.It also combs and summarizes the specific application of installation art in conceptual photography,and combines relevant theoretical analysis;Through the analysis of a large number of creative practices of installation art in conceptual photography in the West from postmodernism to now,a relatively complete knowledge framework that can guide the creation of this field of vision is summarized and refined;And use the guiding framework obtained from the analysis of this study to combine conceptual photography with installation art to explore my own creative practice.Based on this,this paper focuses on the application of installation art in western concept photography and discusses it in five chapters.First of all,the first chapter takes the related concepts of western conceptual photography into account as the whole text,including the overview of western conceptual photography and installation art,the interaction between the two,and the development of western conceptual photography into installation art.Thirdly,the third chapter focuses on the multiple application of installation art in western concept photography.Through the collection and sorting of the history of photography and art,the author divides the application of installation media into four parts,such as installation media combined with characters,installation media combined with natural landscapes,installation media combined with indoor space,and installation media combined with ready-made products,The author combined a large number of creative cases of relevant artists to testify the views of the article,thus forming a complete knowledge framework.Next,the fourth chapter focuses on the role and significance of installation art in Western concept photography.Its role lies in presenting the emotions and memories of creators,promoting the thinking of the relationship between humans and nature,creating a new reality of utopia,and enriching the discussion of social issues.The significance lies in influencing the creative methods of Western concept photographers on the one hand,and deepening the spiritual connotation of Western concept photography works on the other hand.Finally,combine the above research with my own creation to explore the inspiration and influence of installation art in western concept photography on my creative practice.
