| This thesis discusses Seijun Suzuki’s cinematic aesthetics in five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the background of the topic,the significance and innovation of the research,the current situation of the research at home and abroad,mainly on Seijun Suzuki and his film works and related theoretical studies of film aesthetics.The second part is about the origin of Seijun Suzuki’s film aesthetics,first of all,the traditional Japanese culture and modern Western culture has an important impact on him.Then he inherited the aesthetics of Japanese horror movies.Finally,his own fascination with the Taisho era,with a strong sense of nostalgia.The third part is an aesthetic analysis of Seijun Suzuki’s early films.First,it introduces the genre narration of his early gangster films,analyzes the form and camera language of his early films,and analyzes the unique aesthetic value of Seijun Suzuki’s early genre films.The second is the aesthetic connotation of the film,mainly through the desire of aesthetics and human interpretation of these two aspects,the film is the ultimate exploration of human emotions,consciousness and inner world.The fourth part is an analysis of the aesthetics of Seijun Suzuki’s films in the middle and late stages.The first section discusses the narrative structure of the film,which is non-linear and fragmented.The second section is about the life experience expressed in the film: The Infatuation with death,the body aesthetics and the tendency of mysticism.The third section is on the image space,social space,spiritual space of the three space design on the beauty of esoteric space.The fourth section is to dig out the fantastic illusion contained in the symbols and metaphors of his films.The fifth part is about the evolution of Seijun Suzuki’s film aesthetics,the triple evolution from diverse genre films to lyrical art films,from innovative forms to extreme formalism changes,from direct expression of emotions to abstract expression.This paper probes into the reasons for the formation of his film aesthetics and comments on his films.Finally,it summarizes the research significance and influence of this thesis,studies the film aesthetics in Asia,and explores the different image space under the oriental context,explore how the Japanese traditional art and modern culture to achieve the integration and innovation in the film,so that the traditional culture into the image,the charm of the image,to achieve multiple angles of artistic creation. |
