Research On Interactive Digital Narrative Of New Media Installation Art

With the increasingly close connection between art and technology and the prevalence of modernism,new media installation art has gradually become one of the important media forms and expression forms of contemporary art works.The use of new media and materials makes installation art more diversified,open,interactive and experimental,and also provides a new context for the study of narratology.The interactive installation in public space has a potential narrative space,which is a two-way communication system.Different behaviors of different audiences will construct different narrative logics,thus achieving different artistic effects.This Research topic will start with the lack of narration and the contradiction between interaction and narration of the current new media installation art,focusing on its structure and process,as well as the embodiment of emotional and cognitive functions.This research explores the IDN(Interactive Digital Narrative)theory of Hartmut Koenitz,Janet Murray,Marie-Laure Ryan and others.In particular,the inspiration and guidance of Hartmut Koenitz ’s "SPP model" theory in the narrative structure of new media installations,how to make the audience experience,understand and reflect on the installations,understand the narrative intention of the exhibition or the artists,and realize the real interactive effect between the installation art and the audience.It discusses the role and influence of Hartmut Koenitz’s "Double-Hermeneutic Cycle" theory on the audience’s psychological construction and cognitive level of new media installation,and strengthens the sense of experience so that the interpreter can visit the works in a fruitful and insightful way.The research topic explores ways to improve the balance between narrative and experience of interactive devices from the aspects of possibility network,physical space,fictional space and audio-visual.It hopes to provide reference for solving the existing problems in new media installation art,so as to better promote the narrative of new media installation art,enrich the narrative theory of new media installation art,construct a new system,more widely applicable to the interpretation of installation art,and contribute to the development of new media installation art.
