A Contrastive Study Of Kazakhstan Version Of The Analects Of Confucius From The Perspective Of Skopostheorie

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "The Confucianism founded by Confucius and the Confucianism formed on the basis of it have a far-reaching impact on Chinese civilization,holding a pivotal position in Chinese traditional culture." The Analects of Confucius is a representative work of Confucianism.It is a collection of prose written by Confucius and his disciples.It reflects the political,ethical,moral and educational ideas of Confucius and his school.Although most of them are quotations,they are rich in content,vivid in sentences and vivid in passages.Its main feature is that the language is simple and easy to understand,profound meaning,through the most concise dialogue and action to show the characters.The full text altogether divides into the foreword,the text and the conclusion three parts.The first part is the introduction,including the reasons for choosing the topic,the significance of choosing the topic,the current research situation,the research methods and the innovation.The second part is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is a literature review,which briefly introduces the Analects of Confucius and the translated versions of the Analects of Confucius.Under the guidance of functionalist translation theory,Chapter Two makes an in-depth study of the translation of the two versions of the Analects of Confucius.Chapter Three summarizes the differences between the two versions.From the stylistic point of view,A version is popular,concise and beautiful,while 2021版哈译本version is more close to the language of The Analects,profound and meaningful.In translation strategy,A adopts domestication to make the translation smooth,fluent and easy to be accepted by readers,while 2021版哈译本mainly adopts foreignization in order to maintain the cultural and philosophical features of the original.From the perspective of the three principles of skopos theory,both of them can achieve the translator’s translation goal and reflect the principle of skopos to the greatest extent.But for different purposes,A version tends to be faithful,while 2021版哈译本version better embodies the coherence principle.The fourth chapter is the influence and enlightenment of the Harbin version of the Analects,focusing on the value of the Harbin version,the impact on readers,research inspiration and so on.The third part is the conclusion of this paper,summarizes the research results of this paper,and puts forward the existing problems and future research directions.Through the study of the two versions,we can better understand and apply skopos theory and further clarify the relationship between translation theory and practice.
