Research On Cultural Shifts And Reconstitution Of Local Identity In The Qiangs Resettlement Area After WenChuan Earthquake

This paper takes Nanbaoshan Qiang resettlement area,the only relocation area after WenChuan earthquake,as the case study,and uses multidisciplinary research,fieldwork,and documentary research to explore the path of cultural change and reproduction of Qiang in the context of globalization,as well as the process of dissolution and reconstruction of local identity affected by cultural change.The reconstruction of Qiang local culture is based on the dual role of "place" and "people".Therefore,in addition to continuously excavating Qiang local cultural resources,adapting the modern functions of Qiang culture,and enhancing the interaction between subjectivity and power system,it is also necessary to cultivate people’s feelings toward place and explore the interaction between people and place.The main body of the paper is divided into three parts.The first part presents the crisis of local identity and the resistance to the construction of cultural space in the post-earthquake of Qiang relocation areas affected by cultural changes,while the preservation model of Qiang non-heritage culture brings new vitality to the solution of this problem.The second part starts from the dynamic elements of the modern changes of Qiang culture and combines the interview data to make an in-depth analysis of the current situation of Qiang culture.The second part analyzes the current situation of Qiang culture and reveals that the direction of modern adaptation of Qiang culture should focus on stimulating the internal and external sources of Qiang culture and exploring the connotation of Qiang culture.The third part focuses on the construction of local identity of cultural subjects and the production methods of folk culture in public cultural space.The reconstruction methods of local identity include practicing daily life,reshaping local imagination and recreating collective memory,etc.,while the presentation of folk culture in space also helps to coalesce ethnic identity,evoke people’s memory and emotion,and form"local identity.This paper argues that the reproduction process of Qiang culture cannot be separated from the reconstruction of "local identity".The culture of the Qiang people is in the early stage of change.At the same time,under the influence of this local identity,this cultural consciousness action,led by the government with the participation of the society and the people,with the aim of regaining the Qiang culture,has been officially opened.
