| Freehand sculpture is a type of sculpture with traditional Chinese aesthetic meaning,with the expression of the author’s subjective emotion as the core.The core of freehand sculpture is the expression of "image"."Image" is dominated by the subjective emotion of the creator,combined with the objective reality of the creation subject.Based on the analysis of freehand sculpture works and theoretical research,this paper summarizes the artistic techniques of freehand sculpture into three points,that is,the concise formal language,the processing techniques of giving shape with the class and the visual expression directly.In addition,three artistic techniques are applied to the creation practice of "Cornerstone" series theme sculpture.With the poetic expression of "image" of freehand sculpture,"Cornerstone" series theme sculpture can better express the dedication spirit of ordinary people.Through the perception of my own practice process and the theoretical knowledge of freehand sculpture,I demonstrate the relationship between "content" and "form",that is,"meaning" and "image",in freehand sculpture,providing new possibilities for the theme creation of freehand sculpture in the future. |
