Research On The Application Of Chinese Traditional Freehand Spirit In Freehand Sculpture

When we mention the spirit of Chinese traditional art,the artistic expression of "freehand brushwork" is always remembered by us for the first time.Different from the western "realistic" artistic expression,the Chinese traditional "freehand brushwork" spirit does not excessively pursue the imitation of natural things,but instead focuses on the subjective feelings of objects.Based on emotional expression,it has formed a unique aesthetic system of Chinese people.Chinese art has experienced thousands of years of development,"freehand brushwork" spirit has been flowing in our artistic blood.At the beginning of the last century,the national movement swayed.In order to save the survival of the country,the study of the West penetrated into all walks of life in China.Sculpture,a traditional art form with a long history in China,gradually lost its traditional Chinese characteristics,and Western realistic sculpture became the mainstream.With the advent of reform and opening up,the artistic thought is no longer restrained.There are more different opinions in the Chinese sculpture industry.All kinds of schools bloom,and the research practice of integrating the spirit of "freehand brushwork" into the sculpture field has been gradually established.As an artistic expression based on Chinese unique philosophy,the combination of freehand brushwork spirit and sculpture is not a gimmick,but a sculpture school with Chinese characteristics supported by profound cultural and artistic heritage.It pursues the expression of spiritual level in "metaphysics" and emphasizes the liberation of personality.This paper will consist of three parts: firstly,from the perspective of the spiritual connection between Chinese traditional freehand brushwork spirit and freehand sculpture,this paper deeply analyzes the spiritual connection between them,analyzes the freehand brushwork spirit derived from ancient Chinese philosophy,sorts out its application in Chinese painting and calligraphy works,and relates it to the creation of freehand brushwork sculpture.Secondly,the freehand sculpture influenced by Chinese traditional aesthetics has inherent spiritual characteristics and unique aesthetic expression,and is essentially different from Western sculpture in terms of creative ideas.This paper will also list some representative freehand sculpture works for analysis by combining pictures with examples,explore the spontaneous application characteristics of freehand spirit in sculpture creation,and summarize the freehand spiritual connotation of freehand sculpture.Finally,combined with its own sculpture creation,this paper will elaborate its own understanding of the application of freehand spirit in sculpture,find the innovation in freehand sculpture creation based on freehand spirit,and explore the presentation of artistic spirit and cultural spirit of freehand sculpture.For plastic arts,there is a deep and unique cultural history behind the formation of different schools and styles,which can reflect people's current aesthetic interest and social values.The presentation of Chinese traditional freehand brushwork spirit in sculpture is precisely the reflection of the internal spirit of the Chinese nation.
