Research On The Practice Of Sculpture Dematerialization In The Context Of Conceptual Art

Sculpture has been dependent on material carrier since ancient times,but in the context of modern art,under the influence of conceptual art,sculpture is no longer a materialized presentation of the final result,and the act and thinking of creation are regarded as a more important part of the work.Although a photograph has material properties,dematerialization is not absolutely immaterial,but merely emphasizes the "obsolescence" of the object.The dematerialization of sculpture is not a denial of the material property of sculpture,but a kind of parallel walking with conceptual art.Starting from the study of conceptual art,this paper analyzes the dematerialization forms of conceptual sculpture,and finally sorts out four forms through self-creation: the intervention of performance art in sculpture creation;Sculpture and social intervention;The use of ready-made form in sculpture creation;Sculpture by events.The feasibility development direction of dematerialized sculpture is demonstrated from these four forms.
