Study On The Anti-Japanese Activities Of Korean Volunteers In North China

After Korea was colonized by Japan in 1910,a large number of Korean anti-Japanese independence activists came to China to carry out the Restoration movement.They fought with the Chinese people against Japan.Among them was a Korean volunteer corps formed in Wuhan in 1938 under the joint leadership of the Korean National Front Alliance and the National Government.In early 1941,the main force of the Korean volunteers was transferred to the anti-Japanese front in North China led by the Communist Party of China.In July 1941,the team was reorganized into the North China Branch of the Korean Volunteers.It broke away from the leadership of the General headquarters remaining in the Kuomintan-controlled area and began to accept the leadership of the Korean Youth Federation,which was established in North China in early 1941.In July 1942,the Federation was reorganized into the North China Detachment of the Korean Volunteers,which belonged to the military Department of the Korean Independent Alliance,and both the Korean Volunteers and the Korean Independent Alliance were under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.Together with Chinese soldiers and civilians in North China,Korean volunteers carried out a large number of anti-Japanese activities,including anti-Japanese political propaganda,organization work,participation in operations against Japan,participation in production,training of military and political cadres,establishment of hospitals,and establishment of enterprises.The Korean volunteers played a positive role in assisting China in the Anti-Japanese War,and at the same time accumulated strength for the Korean national independence movement.The Korean volunteers not only shoulder the military task of assisting China in the war of Resistance and fighting the Japanese Army together with the Chinese army and people,but also shoulder the task and goal of strengthening their own armed forces to fight for national independence.The Korean volunteers made positive contributions to China’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese aggression and Korean independence.The fighting friendship between China and the DPRK formed in the joint resistance against Japan will be passed down from generation to generation among the Chinese and DPRK people.
