Study On Private Enterprises In East Sichuan During The War Of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

In the context of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,the private industrial and mineral enterprises in the rear areas had welcomed a short spring under the support of the inward movement of industry and the policy of Nationalist Government.The private enterprises created by Chinese people such as “Qujiang Mining and Metallurgical Co.,Ltd.” had emerged as the times requires,and had developed in the eastern Sichuan.This paper plans to carry out a comprehensive review of Qujiang Mining and Metallurgical Co.,Ltd during 1939-1945,taking it as the research object,it observes its founding background,operating conditions,development model,management system,and relations with local governments,to unveil the real situation of the survival and development of private enterprises in eastern Sichuan during that period,to reconsidered the contribution that the private enterprises had done for the national liberation through this case.Currently,academic researches of enterprises mainly focus on large provincial ones and state-owned ones,and reaches about small and medium enterprises are limited.However,due to the requirements of inward movement and Anti-Japanese War in that time,many small and medium private enterprises were built in western areas,such as Qujiang Mining and Metallurgical Co.Ltd,and it also made important contribution to China`s economical development and the victory of the War as those large provincial and state-owned enterprises did.
