As a classic text of modern mythology,Green Snake highlights a unique spatial construction with a unique imaging system, and uses it as a mirror metaphor for reconstructing history and reflecting on society. The "heterotopia" imagination is the mirror eye in it.Based on Foucault’s theory of "heterotopia",the text analysis of Green Snake aims to explore the spatial characteristics, construction paths, and meaning presentation of the text. With reference to the relevant studies on space, gender and film theory,Green Snake shows a remarkable textual typicality. Its spatial construction and image expression have a distinctive systematic and heterotopia orientation, which provides a solid foundation for its text analysis and value exploration.Research suggests that Green Snake embodies the spatial construction and imagination of a heterotopia, with Shura City being the most representative referential symbol.Shura City,as a place of discipline for individual mindfulness, achieves the goal of discipline for all sentient beings in different ways in terms of time, space, and power, returning them to the right path.At the same time,Shura City is also a city of obsession for individual resistance.Among them,Wuchi is a place for individuals to refer to and choose themselves,Heifeng Cave is a necessary test for individuals to resist divine power, and Ruguo Bridge represents an individual’s subjective transcendence in objective space. At the same time,in terms of image expression, the wasteland aesthetics and diesel punk style render the sense of panic and decadence in Shura City, reflecting the spatial orientation of heterotopia, separation, and deviance. On this basis,Green Snake raises strong doubts about orthodox power through the differentiation of upper divine power, with the Shura City that follows the trend and the Fahai that goes against the fate. The detachment of the Green Snake and the White Snake from other emotional ties also deepens the theme and emotional connotations of human nature. In addition, the setting of the object of attachment witnesses the growth process of the subject, and the diversity of clothing styles demonstrates the philosophical proposition of the end of the earth. In this way, distinctive spatial images, characters, and spatial symbols express the narrative themes of suppression and rebellion, growth and pursuit. The construction of the utopian space in Shura City highlights the profound value questioning of Green Snake. In terms of personal expression, heterotopia stimulates the awakening and progress of women’s self-awareness,from attachment to men to the pursuit of independence, from returning to the family to adhering to oneself, and thus completing the transformation of discourse space from single to multiple. At the same time, heterotopia coincides with the deconstruction of phallus’ s centralism, which makes the other change to self, but at the same time, the female discourse space is still limited, providing space for the development of gender research. Finally, heterotopia provides a diverse perspective, influencing and shaping a more harmonious gender perspective,a power perspective that focuses on the periphery, and a cultural perspective that blends tradition and modernity. Its brand new visual narrative conveys rich value reflection and era questioning, and also provides valuable experience and inspiration for the modernity transformation, artistic speculation, and dissemination innovation of Chinese films.
