Based on the educational function of college English course,Universities of Tibet are facing the challenges of ideological and political teaching design and practice in the post-epidemic era.Therefore,the ideological and political teaching reform of college English course needs to be promoted with information teaching.This paper introduced ASSURE model into ideological and political teaching of college English courses,in order to ensure the orderly development of teaching planning and practice,and revise the teaching plan,which is conducive to responding to the educational policy of "integration of ideological and political courses" in China and Tibet.It is conducive to enriching the theory of ASSURE model,the practical theory of ideological and political teaching in college English courses,and the application theory of ASSURE model in ethnic minority areas.At the same time,it will guide the conclusion to practice,which will help improve the teaching effect and optimize the teaching level of ASSURE model.Firstly,this paper took the policy of universities of Tibet and the challenges of information-based teaching as the research background.Thenit made an integrated research on the application of ASSURE model at home and abroad,as well as the research results and theoretical basis of ideological and political teaching in college English courses.Combing the current situation and teaching difficulties of ideological and political teaching in English courses at home and abroad.Secondly,based on the six steps of ASSURE model,this paper investigated the current situation of ideological and political teaching design and practice of college English courses in universities of Tibet,reflecting the shortcomings of teachers.Thirdly,taking the explanation of Chanel English reading course as an example,this paper carried out the ideological and political design and teaching practice of college English course based on ASSURE model.This teaching practice was based on the analysis of the characteristics of junior students in universities of Tibet,and formulated the teaching objectives of English knowledge and ideological and political literacy.In the teaching methods,we should integrate the use of media materials such as U campus and Tencent conference,and implemented the flip classroom teaching,situational teaching and task-driven teaching of ideological and political education in college English courses to increase the two-way interaction between teachers and students.To sum up,the experience and shortcomings in practice were constantly optimized the teaching content.Fourthly,the effect of English knowledge and ideological and political teaching were evaluated.This practical teaching significantly improved the overall college English learning performance of junior students.Teaching practice achieved good results in six dimensions of college students’ political identity,feelings of home and country,cultural accomplishment,awareness of rule of law,moral cultivation and professional study,among which the effect of shaping students’ feelings of home and country and moral cultivation was outstanding,and the effect of cultivating students to love and support the party was average.Finally,according to this study,the corresponding teaching improvement suggestions were summarized,and the reflection of teaching practice was written.
