Wang Fuzhi,poeticist,poem critics.The existing poetic works Shi Yi,The Xitang Yongri Xulun Neibian,Xitang Yongri Xulun Waibian and poetry anthology Ancient poetry selection,Tang poetry selection,Ming poetry selection,and a large number of opinions related to poetry are scattered in other works.As an important part of the history of ancient Chinese literary thought and an important resource for the construction of China ’s own literary theory discourse,Wang Fuzhi ’s poetic theory has been deeply and meticulously studied,but his poetic concepts and stylistic aspects in literary criticism have not been fully valued.This paper studies Wang Fuzhi ’s five-character ancient poetry theory.On the whole,it is divided into two parts : Wang Fuzhi ’s theory of five-character ancient poetry and Wang Fuzhi ’s combing and constructing the history of five-character ancient poetry.First of all,it discusses the generation of Wang Fuzhi ’s criticism of five-character ancient poetry : the feeling of Tao and the unity of poetry and music are the general principles of Wang Fuzhi ’s poems,which constitute the general provisions of Wang Fuzhi ’s poems.The five-character ancient poetry criticism of Wang Fuzhi has accumulated rich propositions and numerous research results since Jian ’an,and flowed to the end of the Ming Dynasty.It constitutes the knowledge background of Wang Fuzhi’s five-character ancient poetry criticism.In the dialogue with this knowledge tradition,Wang Fuzhi formed his own critical terminology,depicting and outlining the five-character ancient poetry history that conforms to his own value orientation;Wang Fuzhi ’s self-conscious debate consciousness in the practice of five-character ancient poetry creation and his in-depth examination of the style in writing constitute the basis of Wang Fuzhi ’s poetry criticism.Secondly,it discusses Wang Fuzhi ’s theory of five-character ancient poetry :examines the relationship between five-character ancient poetry and other poetry,and clarifies the characteristics of five-character ancient poetry in comparison.It is believed that the five-character poem inherits the characteristics of simple and repeated singing of the four-character poem mainly represented by the Book of Songs;The boundary between the five-character ancient poetry and the five-character yuefu in the Han Dynasty is quite ambiguous.Both of them are likely to be lyrics that can be sung into music.The selection of the five-character ancient poetry in the Han Dynasty as a model for the entire five-character ancient poetry is not only an extension of some traditional habits of knowledge,but also once again shows the characteristics of Wang Fuzhi ’s poetic theory on poetry with music.The five-character modern style is derived from the five-character ancient style.Wang Fuzhi refuses to recognize the independence of the five-character modern style,and advocates the standard of the five-character ancient style as a measure of the artistic level of the five-character modern style.Wang Fuzhi ’s poetic cognition of five-character ancient poetry is illustrated by three points : no trouble,twists and turns and no interruption.Thirdly,it discusses Wang Fuzhi ’s combing of the history of five-character ancient poetry,and discusses the evolution of five-character ancient poetry in the three historical periods of Han,Wei and Six Dynasties,Tang and Ming respectively.It shows that Chuanshan ’s five-character ancient poetry flourished in the Han,Jin and Song Dynasties,twists and turns in Jian ’an,weaker than Qi and Liang Dynasties,destroyed in Tang Dynasty,and revived in the early Ming Dynasty.At the same time,it tries to explain the critical discourse of Chuanshan ’s poetry from the perspective of stylistics.Finally,the full text is concluded to review the gains and losses of Wang Fuzhi ’s five-character ancient poetry theory.Wang Fuzhi ’s grasp of the evolution of the five-ancient poetry in different periods and the poetic style of some representative poets is indeed pertinent,but Wang Fuzhi ’s overall narrative of the evolution of the five-ancient poetry in the Han,Wei and Six Dynasties shows a strong retro color,and the retro characteristics of his five-ancient poetry theory are inevitably determined by the poetic function theory of Chuanshan poetry and music. |
