A Study Of Fan Zhongyan’s Confucianism And Talents In View Of Academic Heritage

Fan Zhongyan,a famous minister in the Northern Song Dynasty,has always been praised.Many of his ideas,including political thought,military thought,economic thought,educational thought and literary thought,have had a certain influence on the time and later generations.However,it is worth exploring where these propositions and thoughts come from,and it is also beneficial to understand Fan Zhongyan more profoundly and comprehensively.Fan Zhongyan’s "Qi Tong literature",due to the influence of the official history,has long been regarded as not published theory,later there are "Yan Shu theory","Cui Zundu theory","Qi theory",although they are based on different historical materials,from different angles to discuss and research,but there are still some problems.This article is divided into three parts.The first chapter of Fan Zhongyan’s early schooling experience and Fan Zhongyan"learn according to Qi Tongyan"source to do a detailed comb,think that because the History of Song Dynasty(《宋史》)has the reason,later generations in history found Qi Tongwen and Fan Zhongyan have similar conduct,experience and so on mistakenly thought that two people have a teacher relationship,to the"History of Song"completed,this statement is widely spread.The second chapter makes an examination and distinction of Fan Zhongyan’s "Qi Tongwen theory" and "Yan Shu theory",and thinks that these two theories are not valid,Fan Zhongyan’s accurate theory is Qi and men.Through the collection and collation of historical materials,the question of Fan Zhongyan’s inheritance has a context.Fan Zhongyan learned Confucian classics under the guidance of Qi Shunbin and Wang Du in Ying Tianfu Academy enriched his character cultivation and ability to learn.The third chapter takes Fan Zhongyan’s talent as the starting point,and researches the origin of Fan Zhongyan’s qin,chess,writing and painting.His talent is not"no teacher",but a teacher to find.Fan Zhongyan learned qin from Cui Zundu and Tang Yi,and worked with Wang Hao,Zhou Debao,Qu Yuanying,Zhong Jun(Taoist priest)and Yang Tian to discuss the qin.Chess skills are reflected in Gift Fan Xiucai(《赠樊秀才》)and Gift Chess Player(《赠棋者》);Communicate with Su Shun yuan,Su Shunqin brothers calligraphy skill,to shao beg the tonglu county Mr Yan ancestral hall.(《桐庐郡严先生祠堂记》His paintings are shown in Offering Baihua Land to Chen Zhou Yan Xianggong(《献百花洲图上陈州晏相公》)and Baiguan Map(《百官图》);These talents are an important part of Fan Zhongyan’s life,which gives him relief when his life is lost and his career is not smooth.
