| This article focuses on the study of Xi Jian and his family,positioning its perspective on Xi Jian,an important representative of the Xi family in Gaoping.At the beginning of the establishment of the Eastern Jin Dynasty,the patriarchal political pattern was established.As a member of the patriarchal political vortex,Xi Jian played an important role in maintaining political stability and reconciling aristocratic relations.This article will analyze Xi Jian’s background,political activities,management of Jingkou,and coordination of aristocratic relations from multiple perspectives.In addition to the "Introduction",the text includes four chapters:The first chapter is about Xi Jian’s family background and his early activities.Firstly,it traces the origin of the family identity,including textual research on the Xi surname and ancestral origin,as well as the early prefecture prestige and lineage inheritance of the Xi family.Secondly,it introduces the early activities of Xi Jian,mainly related activities before the Yongjia Rebellion.The second chapter explores the political activities of Xi Jian during the Eastern Jin Dynasty.The first is the period of commanding the refugees’ armed forces.This section mainly introduces the refugees’ issues during the two Jin dynasties,focusing on the narration of the refugees’ armed forces.Secondly,based on the special identity of Xi Jian as the refugees’ commander,it explores the reasons for his entry into the dynasty and the use of the refugees’ armed forces in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.Finally,it introduces the refugees’ armed forces led by Xi Jian to quell the rebellion of Wang Dun and Su Jun.The third chapter discusses the management of Xi Jian and his family in the Jingkou area.Firstly,it explores the strategic position of Jingkou region before the Eastern Jin Dynasty.Secondly,it focuses on the prosperity of Jingkou during the period of Xi Jian’s operation,including the formation and development of Jingkou military group and the strategic position of Jingkou.Finally,it briefly introduces the inherited management of descendants of Xi family in Jingkou region.The fourth chapter discusses Xi Jian and the Eastern Jin Clan.The first is the connection between the Xi clan and the Langya Wang clan,which is mainly reflected in the subtle relationship between the Xi Jian and the Wang Dao,as well as the combination of the Xi and Wang clans.The second is to discuss the important role of the Xi Jian in coordinating the relationship between the noble clans. |
