With the improvement of aircraft automation level, the number of flight accidents and unsafe incidents caused by pilot manual control errors is gradually increasing. On June 1,2009,Flight AF447 crashed in the Atlantic Ocean, and it was not until July 2012 that the Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety(BEA)released the final version of the accident investigation report. After studying this report, the translator found that the first two chapters "Factual Information" and "Analysis" are dense in terminology and rich in information,so the translation practice was carried out for this part. This translation practice report summarizes and analyzes the problems encountered in the practice, applies the framework of "Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation"(CEA)proposed by Professor Li Changshuan and other relevant theories, and points out the corresponding translation techniques with specific cases. This report is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1 is an introduction to the background of source text and significance of report.Chapter 2 describes the translation process, including pre-translation,while-translation and post-translation.Chapter 3 shows the CEA framework and points out the meaning and requirements of "comprehension, expression and adaptation".Chapter 4 is the focus of the report.Based on this framework and combined with typical cases, this chapter begins with a focus on the "Comprehension" of terminology through contextual understanding and Internet search."Expression" focuses on the readability and coherence of the translation, which analyses how to avoid "Euro-Chinese" and ensure language coherence."Adaptation" focuses on the means of adaptation to better convey the information and achieve the purpose of the translation, while emphasizing the limits of adaptation.Chapter 5 is a summary and reflection of this practice, pointing out areas for further improvements.
