| Descartes planned to eliminate opinions and establish a stable and likely philosophical system in which it is important to obtain truth.Therefore,Descartes distinguishes between truth and error,explaining the concept of error and the premise of making mistake.According to the different subjects who make mistakes,Descartes divides the theory of error into two parts: the mistakes of the thinking subject,which occur in the cognitive activities of pure spirit,and the mistakes of the man,which occur in the activities of the combination of mind and body.the cognition of the combination of spirit and body respectively.Reason,will,and judgment are the thinking forms of the thinking subject,and their operation process and interrelationship are vital to the cognitive activity of pure spirit.Natural and perception of the senses are also important to human activities.The research on theory of error currently focuses on the Fourth Meditation,discussing the reasons why free will and a state of indifferent as the reason for making mistakes,relatively ignoring the other part of the Error Theory,that the reason of human who are a combination of mind and body can make mistakes.Among the reasons why human can make mistakes,Descartes also proposed the coping methods with using reason and will.Therefore,according to the different reasons and subjects of the mistakes,Descartes discussed different ways of reducing or avoiding error,in which the meaning of will and way of using will had been changed. |
