A Textual Research On The Literary Activities Of The National Northwest Associated University In The Period Of Anti-Japanese War

In 1937,the Anti-Japanese War broke out in an all-round way,and China’s politics,economy,and culture were severely affected.Especially in terms of culture,the institutions of higher education in North China and Pingjin area were in a dilemma of survival.In order to preserve the fire of higher education in China,with the spontaneous cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the National Government and the spontaneous cooperation of colleges and universities,a huge inland relocation of colleges and universities began.The colleges and universities mainly moved into the southwest and northwest regions,and it promoted the development of local cultural education and literary activities.In the southwest region,the National Southwest Associated University had the greatest influence,while in the northwest region,the the National Northwest Associated University shouldered the entire mission of building the culture here.During the nine years of taking root in the northwestern region,Through the inexhaustible efforts of the teachers and students of the the National Northwest Associated University,the remote and backward Chenggu had developed into the cultural center of the Northwest,also made the Northwest,where was the darkest corner of the original culture before,built a cultural and educational center in the rear of the Anti-Japan War.The importance of the the National Northwest Associated University radiated from point to area,lighting up the northwest plate of the map of Anti-Japanese literature,and made outstanding contributions to the War wartime culture.However,compared with the already in-depth and mature research of Southwest University,the research on the National Northwest Associated University is still in its infancy,and it needs to be based on combing the related history to deepen the research.Therefore,this thesis will continue to excavate a large amount of historical data on the basis of existing research results,to return to the historical situation of the the National Northwest Associated University’s literary activities,then explore the formation of its literary education environment,analyze the role and influence of its literary associations and publications,and get a glimpse of the real life,spiritual world of teachers and students through literary works,and the relationship with Anti-Japanese literature.It will analyze from the following four chapters:The first chapter Literature Education of the National Northwest Associated University mainly discusses the extensive and open literature education environment formed by teachers,literature courses and creative training.Under the leadership of teachers,students absorb a wealth of literary nutrients,and they transform them into literary activities.With the close coordination of literature courses and creative training,creative practice in the the National Northwest Associated University is carried out in an orderly manner,thus forming a good atmosphere for literary creation.On this basis,teachers and students carry out many rich and significant literary activities.The second chapter The Literary Associations and Literary Publications of the National Northwest Associated University mainly focuses on two important factors of the the National Northwest Associated University’s literary activities: literary associations and publications.As a public space for literary lovers,the literary associations not only expands the radiation scope and influence of society by gathering the power of teachers and students,but also guides youth’s life choices with rich literary activities.Meanwhile,as the modern paper media,in addition to providing a place for teachers and students to communicate and create,literarypublications also spread their works and ideas to all parts of the Northwest and even other regions in China,promoting effective communication and exchanges between the the National Northwest Associated University,the northwest region and the outside world,and makes it a powerful thrust to illuminate the light of Northwest literature and art.The third chapter The Poetry Creation of the National Northwest Associated University researches the poetry works and creative process of the the National Northwest Associated University’s poets by selecting representative poets.There are mainly three types of teacher and student creations: ancient poems,foreign translated poems and new poems.The creation of ancient poems is represented by Professor Li Jinxi and Luo Zhanglong,and the theme is related to life in the Wartime.The translation of foreign poems is also based on teachers,Professors Cao Jinghua,Yu Zhen,and Yu Gengyu translated and introduce Russian,European and American poetry respectively.Their translation work not only enriches the poetry creation of the General Assembly,but also promotes the development of new poetry.The new poem creation part mainly analyzes Niu Han,Tang Qi,Li Manhong,and Sun Yiqiu,then analyzes the works and their creation process by contacting their life and learning experience here.The fourth chapter The Creation of Novels and Prose of the National Northwest Associated University mainly uses two styles to show the campus life of the teachers and students of the Wartime and their exposure to the current social situation.In prose,the teachers and students express their spirit of having fun in hardship,and in the novel they sharply point out the light and darkness in society,which embodies the wartime sentiment and humanistic care of intellectuals.Through the detailed combing of historical materials,the research and analysis of the above content,the thesis attempts to further demonstrate the rich literary activities of the the National Northwest Associated University and discuss its significance in Anti-Japanese literature.Trying to re-present the the National Northwest Associated University to the world.
