| Safe sex has received widespread attention in the field of medical sociology due to its impact on biomedical issues and epidemiological risks related to the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.Additionally, due to its interaction with multiple factors such as sexual attitudes, sexual desires, gender roles, individual psychological characteristics and related knowledge, the importance of examining the relationship between these factors in the field of psychology or education is evident.Combined with the lack of perspective of ordinary heterosexuality women in the context of Chinese culture at home and abroad, and the lack of quantitative research on psychological variables related to safe sex and the relationship between those variables in China. This study will adopt a mixed research design of qualitative and quantitative research.Firstly, the influencing factors and their relationship models of safe sex behavior from the perspective of ordinary Chinese women will be summarized through interviews. Then, quantitative analysis will be used to verify the summarized influencing factors,in order to examine the influencing factors of safe sex from the perspective of ordinary Chinese women. In study 1,semi-structured in-depth interviews were used to collect data, and the three-tier coding method of Grounded Theory was used to analyze the data.Based on the Chinese social and cultural background, the influencing factors and relationship models of female individual safe sex were able to be explored. The conclusion is that female individual safe sexual behavior is influenced by the interaction of four core factors: social and cultural environment, family environment, sexual knowledge level, and individual psychological characteristics. And a relationship model was constructed for the influencing factors of safe sexual behavior. In study 2,485 adult heterosexuality subjects with sexual experience were collected through questionnaire survey, and the results of descriptive statistical analysis and variance analysis were combined to investigate the overall situation of female subjects’ safe sex, educational level, feminist identity and self-efficacy,as well as their differences in age and environment. The conclusions are as follows:(1)Overall situation: the scores of safe sex behavior, individual education level, various development stages of feminist identity, and general self-efficacy show a right skewed distribution. The tested sample has a good overall development in safe sex, education level, various development of feminist identity, and general self-efficacy;(2)Growth environment: there are significant differences in the distribution of safe sex, education level, feminist identity and general self-efficacy under different growth environment groups, indicating that growth environment has an important impact on each variable.Th results of variance analysis show that as the growth environment improves, all variables show an upward trend, which may be related to economic income, cultural atmosphere, information acquisition channels, education level, and educational infrastructure;(3)Age: Under age, safe sex, education level, and the passive acceptance stages of feminist identity showed significant distribution differences across different age groups, indicating the important role of age in safe sex, education level, and passive acceptance stages. This may be related to the individual’s marital status, frequency of sexual activity, traditional thinking, and cultural background factors behind age.Study 3 examined the relationship between safe sex, educational level, feminist identity and general self-efficacy,examined the parallel mediating effect of different development stages of feminist identity on the relationship between educational level and safe sex and the moderating effect of general self-efficacy,and verified whether there was a moderated parallel mediating model. The conclusions are as follows:(1)educational level significantly positively predicted the score of safe sex;(2)Feminist identity significantly negatively predicts safe sexual behavior in two stages:passive-acceptance and revelation.Meanwhile, feminist identity significantly positively predicts safe sexual behavior in synthesis phase. As the stage of feminist identity develops, individuals perform better in safe sexual behavior;(3)The passive acceptance and synthesis stages of feminist identity play a parallel mediating role in the relationship between education level and safe sex.Education level positively predicts safe sexual behavior through both passive acceptance and synthesis stages;(4)General self-efficacy significantly positively predicted safe sex behavior;(5)General self-efficacy moderates the relationship between feminist identity and safe sexual behavior, weakens the significant negative predictive effect of passive acceptance stage on safe sexual behavior, and strengthens the positive predictive effect of synthesis stage on safe sexual behavior;(6)The relationship between education level and safe sexual behavior through feminist identity(passive acceptance, synthesis)is regulated by general self-efficacy.In general, there is a regulated parallel mediation model. In summary, this study examines the influencing factors of safe sex behavior from the perspective of Chinese female groups, supplementing the qualitative research field of safe sex behavior with Chinese data for relevant fields abroad, and filling the data gap for female groups at home. The core factors and secondary coding factors derived from qualitative research may also provide ideas for future research in the field of safe sexual behavior. In addition, the research on the relationship between education level, feminist identity, general self-efficacy and safe sex promoted the domestic literature on quantitative research on safe sex.At the same time, education level, feminist identity and general self-efficacy can provide ideas for the design of psychological intervention programs for the improvement of future sex education courses and individuals with psychological trauma caused by unsafe sexual behavior. |
