The Dance Music Features And Performance Analysis Of Bach’s <French Suites BWV817>

Johann Sebastian Bach was a German composer and keyboard player known as the "father of Western music".The French Suite,which he created,is a representative work of keyboard works and an important teaching material in piano teaching."French Suite" BWV817 consists of eight short dance music,its beautiful melody,changeable style,has a high artistic research value.This paper mainly uses the literature analysis method to summarize the existing literature.At the same time,empirical and dialectical research methods are used to explore the internal relationship between European court dance,dance music and French Suite BWV817,combined with piano performance techniques,so as to further understand the deep connotation of Bach’s suite.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction elaborates from four aspects: the basis of the topic selection,the significance of the topic selection,the research status at home and abroad and the selection of music version.The text includes three chapters: the first chapter traces the origin of Johann Sebastian Bach and his suites,summarizes the development of the ancient suite,and briefly introduces Bach’s life and the characteristics of the three suites;The second chapter analyzes the characteristics of eight dances based on the application of dance steps combination in European court dances.The third chapter summarizes the performance of the work:from the three characteristics of "decoration","connectivity" and "improvisation" of the work,through the analysis of the playing method of grace note,the change of the mode of movement,repeated paragraphs and other aspects,compare the playing versions of different musicians,extract their music processing characteristics,provide some references for learners,so that the characteristics of dance music can be better expressed.This paper,through the study of the dance characteristics and performance analysis of French Suite BWV817,tries to offer some suggestions for the players to learn Bach’s suite works,help them grasp the correct style of the work,and trigger learners to think more.
