Creation Of The Local Documentary "Platform

Along with economic and social development,the transformation and evolution of China’s urban-rural dual structure has led to changes in the ways of living and livelihood habits of the rural working population.In order to share the fruits of rapid economic growth,a large number of rural laborers have flocked to the cities,destroying the traditional rural structure,displacing the population,abandoning or transferring farmland,and exacerbating the decline of the countryside with the hollowing out of the countryside and the aging of the population.In order to reveal the changes in the fate and thoughts and emotions of individuals left behind in the countryside during the transformation of China’s urban-rural dual structure,this paper takes the creation of the documentary "Mother’s time" as a starting point to describe the simplicity and strength of individuals in the changing times,and further elaborates how the video documentary ontology completes the romantic subjective expression and realistic objective writing on rural China.With the backdrop of rural areas in northern Jiangsu Province,the documentary "Mother’s time" is based on the film’s authenticity,the theme of rural life,the narrative of the local culture,and the narrative of the first perspective.The film is about the plight of survival and development of small people in the countryside.By showing the mother Zhao Xiuqin’s struggle against fate,the film conveys her optimistic spirit of actively "entering the world" and tries to explore the different dimensions of the value of individual life in the rural areas in the current consumer-oriented society with highly inflated materialistic desires,and to find the possibility of healing for the gradually materialized personality of modern people.The documentary "Mother’s time" expresses humanistic concern for grassroots groups with a civilian narrative strategy,attempting to provide new ideas and directions for theoretical research and creation of domestic rural film and television documentaries,and at the same time providing cultural samples for reference in the diversified expression of rural areas in China.The thesis "Explanation on the creation of the documentary " Mother’s time "" mainly introduces and elaborates on the origin,background and creation process of the documentary "Mother’s time",as well as the establishment of the topic,field research,planning and shooting,and post-production.At the same time,the thesis also reflects on and analyzes the shortcomings and problems in the creation,and summarizes and explains the insights,experiences and revelations gained during the creation process.The thesis argues that the differences in the vernacular imagination cause the lack of empathy of the audience in the process of watching the film,therefore,the creation of vernacular documentaries should combine the individuality of the film content with the commonality of the national brand,and find the universality of human emotions by digging into the stories behind the characters to realize the dissemination of cultural values and humanistic care in the film.Through reflecting on the problems encountered in the creation of the vernacular documentary "Mother’s time",I found that I have insufficient theoretical level,insufficient exploration of the depth of the film,and the editing level needs to be improved,which needs to be further improved in the future study and creation.
