Research On The Generalization Of Natural Science Term

In recent years,China’s science and technology have developed rapidly,the level of education has been continuously improved,and the phenomenon of generalization of natural science terms has gradually increased.The generalization of natural science terms refers to words from natural science fields such as mathematics,physics,chemistry,biology,astronomy,geography,etc.,whose scope of application has expanded and evolved new meanings in non-natural scientific contexts.This paper will study the generalization of natural science terms based on the words included in the relevant volumes of the natural science field in Dazhihai,and the official websites such as Peking University Online Corpus,Beijing Language and Culture University Online Corpus and China News Network as auxiliary corpus,combined with cognitive linguistics and traditional lexicology.This article mainly includes the following seven parts:1.Introduction: It mainly discusses the research status and remaining problems of generalization of natural science terms,and explains the research object,corpus source,research significance and research methods of this paper.2.Screen and define concepts such as "natural science terms" and "generalization of natural science terms" : Based on the "Da Ci Hai Mathematics,Physical and Chemical Power Volume","Da Ci Hai World Geography Volume","Da Ci Hai Life Science Volume" and "Da Ci Hai Astronomical and Earth Science Volume",the three points of(1)nature as words or phrases,(2)appearing in modern Chinese,and(3)reflecting natural science are used as the criteria.Based on the four points of(1)etymology belonging to natural science terms,(2)expansion of the scope of application,(3)new meaning,and(4)the meaning of the natural science field is related to the meaning of the non-natural science field,the generalized materials of natural science terms are selected on the basis of the selected natural science terms.3.Discuss the generalization field and degree of generalization of natural science terms: The fields of generalization of natural science terms are divided into four categories: within disciplines,between natural disciplines,transformation to other professional fields,and transformation to the field of daily life.According to whether tags are required and the proportion of generalization of generalization,the generalization degree of natural science terms is quantitatively investigated.4.Quantitative analysis of the linguistic characteristics and changes of generalized natural science: discuss and describe the generalized syllabic,grammatical and semantic characteristics of natural science terms through charts.Combined with the relevant theories of traditional lexicology,the semantics,grammar and pragmatic changes of generalization of natural science terms are expounded.5.Explore the generalization of natural science terms: Combined with cognitive linguistics,the ways of generalization of natural science terms are divided into metaphorical generalization and metonymic generalization and discussed.6.Discuss the motivations of generalization of natural science terms: analyze the motivations of generalization of natural science terms from the aspects of objective world factors,subjective world factors,and language world factors.Finally,the research on the generalization of natural science terms in this paper is summarized,and several conclusions are drawn to summarize the paper from multiple aspects,and also point out some specific problems in this research and areas for continuous improvement.
