A Study Of Xu Zechen’s Short Stories From The Perspective Of Style

The short story has established its position in the development of literature with its unique stylistic characteristics.To investigate the stylistic consciousness and practice of specific writers,we should focus on the specific social and cultural context and the writer’s own life experience.Xu Zechen is undoubtedly one of the most important novelists in the contemporary literary world.Since the new century,"post-70" bid farewell to silence,and strive to get out of the bottleneck period of writing predicament.As a writer with conscious sense of style,Xu Zechen has been valued and praised by the academic circle and readers because of his vigorous writing motivation,increasingly fruitful achievements and extensive literary influence.Xu Zechen has created 90 short stories and published more than 10 collections of short stories in more than 20 years of writing career.Since writing short stories,Xu Zechen has constantly innovated the artistic conception of short stories,refined the language of short stories and expanded the narrative themes,in order to achieve a mature artistic realm.However,at present,there is little attention and research on short stories,and there is no research on Xu Zechen’s short stories from the perspective of style.Therefore,it is of great academic significance and unique value to systematically sort out and deeply expound Xu Zechen’s short stories.This paper will study Xu Zechen’s short stories from the perspective of style,and expand from the following aspects:In the introduction part,it firstly summarizes the social and cultural context of Xu Zechen’s creation and clarifies the concept of style,which lays a theoretical foundation for the discussion of the following text.Secondly,it summarizes the general situation and research progress of domestic short stories,and the research status of Xu Zechen’s short stories in academia,and explains the important research value of Xu Zechen and his short stories.Finally,the specific research methods and innovations of this paper are introduced.The first chapter analyzes the stylistic consciousness and construction process of Xu Zechen’s short stories from three aspects.First,Xu Zechen’s stylistic experiment stage,from the pioneer spirit into the short story garden,completed the aesthetic transformation from pioneer to realistic;Secondly,Xu Zechen’s stylistic exploration stage,he started from his childhood experience to open a diversified pattern of novels;Third,it is the stage of Xu Zechen’s literary style self-consciousness,which constructs a new literary coordinate in a unique way and forms a distinctive stylistic pursuit and artistic charm.The second chapter focuses on exploring the stylistic features of Xu Zechen’s short stories,that is,how the writer poured the stylistic consciousness into the specific short stories,and then constructed the unique stylistic style.This chapter will grasp the structure pattern of Xu Zechen’s short stories from the perspective of meaningful language forms and rich blank narration,and discuss how the writer gradually forms the style consciousness on the level of novel structure,so as to broaden the boundary of the style of short stories.The third chapter,from the source of Xu Zechen’s short stories,shows that Xu has deeply absorbed the essence of Chinese classical literature,inherited the artistic tradition of notebook novels and ancient Chinese novels,and realized the modern transformation of traditional literary resources on this basis.At the same time,through the reference and integration of foreign literary resources,he gradually realizes the appeal of writing Chinese stories in the coordinate system of world literature.These literary resources jointly broaden the style pattern of Xu Zechen’s short stories and inject a steady stream of artistic nourishment.The fourth chapter discusses the stylistic value and significance of Xu Zechen’s short stories.In terms of value,Xu Zechen provides new experience for the current short story writing predicament with his resolute creation attitude and solid creation achievements.In terms of limitations,the tendency of self-repetition and the deliberate arrangement of the story plot are still problems that need to be further solved.Meanwhile,the writer’s creation is also faced with the limitation that the meaning of the text cannot be fully developed due to the continuous narrowing of his local experience.The conclusion part summarizes and deepens the full text.This paper considers Xu Zechen’s short stories from the current situation of writing short stories and summarizes the evolution and style of Xu Zechen’s short stories.Based on this,this paper examines the limitations,possibilities and uniqueness of Xu Zechen’s short works,and expresses the expectation and prospect of Xu Zechen’s future works.
