As a widely used social hierarchy, socioeconomic status has an important influence on individual psychology and behavior.Prosocial behavior,as one of the driving forces to promote individual and social development,is also an important subject of scholars from all walks of life. With the deepening of research, more and more scholars in different fields have found that there is a complex relationship between socioeconomic status and prosocial behavior. In this study, justice sensitivity,a internal variable affecting individual behavior, was selected as a mediator, and questionnaire and experimental methods were used to explore the relationship between socioeconomic status and prosocial from different perspectives, and to investigate the role of justice sensitivity in it.In the first study,a questionnaire was used to explore the relationship between socioeconomic status, prosocial behavior and justice sensitivity of 602 subjects. The results showed that there was a significant negative correlation between prosocial behavior and other-directed justice sensitivity and subjective socioeconomic status;and there was a significant positive correlation between other-directed justice sensitivity and prosocial behavior;and the other-directed justice sensitivity played a partial mediating role in the predictive effect of subjective socioeconomic status. In study 2,the results of study 1 were verified by experimental method, and 140 subjects were randomly divided into high status group and low status group. The participants’ subjective status was manipulated by comparative method, and prosocial behavior was investigated by public goods game task,so as to explore the mediating effect of justice sensitivity. The results showed that the high status perceivers showed lower sensitivity to other-directed justice and prosocial behavior;while the low status perceivers showed higher sensitivity to other-directed justice and prosocial behavior; At the same time,other-directed justice sensitivity plays a partial mediating role between subjective socioeconomic status and prosocial behavior. In the third study,we investigated the robustness of the mediating effect of justice sensitivity in unjust situations. In order to explore the mediating effect of justice sensitivity,we used the dictator task to priming participants’ sense of injustice, and the donation task to measure participants’ prosocial behavior. Results show that the unfair situation, high position senser others oriented justice sensitivity low and pro-social behavior tendency;others leads to justice sensitivity high individual prosocial behavior is higher;and guide others justice sensitivity in subjective social and economic status predict effects play a partial intermediary role.To sum up,the results of this study further confirm that groups with low socioeconomic status are more likely to have pro-social behaviors, which may be because groups with low socioeconomic status are more sensitive to unfair events, and higher sensitivity leads to higher pro-social behavior tendencies of individuals. |
