| The beginning of the 21st century is an important node for the succession and development of Chinese photography and news values.It is also an important period for China’s reporting photography to develop from scratch and from germination to mainstream.Taking representative photojournalists as the research object,we can observe and analyze the development and change of Chinese news photography through the characters and their works,and then clearly report the impact and role of photography on China’s social construction.This paper focuses on 14 news photography themed works created by Mr.Chen Qinggang(1998-2014)as the main research materials,with important photographer works of the same period and existing academic research achievements as auxiliary materials,combined with the history of Chinese news photography,communication,semiotics and aesthetics and other multi-disciplinary knowledge,into their own photographic works,comprehensive use of documentary research,comparative method,observation method,interview method,semiotic study method,ethnographic research method,through the combination of theory and practice,social reality,trying to systematically build a cognitive and research framework for the study of personal photographic works.It also reveals the profound historical reasons and laws behind the transformation of Chinese news photography.First of all,this paper combines the narrative of the times of news photography to grasp the macro integrity of Chinese news photography.Secondly,it combs and analyzes the content theme and technical characteristics of Chen Qinggang’s works;through the analysis of the use of symbols in his works and the "coding" and "decoding" in the actual communication context,this paper explores the creative way,emotional expression and visual presentation of Chen Qinggang’s works in the plane carrier.Finally,taking the photographer’s news practice as the starting point,from the small to the big,pry into the multi-dimensional innovation period of report photography,and put forward suggestions to solve the current news photography problems.The study found that news photography has its own value bias,and the consensus on social issues and marginalized groups is increasingly practiced in China;chinese news photography is actively and more deeply integrated into the development of world news photography;at present,the network public space still needs media persuasion and value guidance,and news photography needs to actively intervene and exert its influence;the development of news photography requires scientific and rational use of image symbols to carry out in-depth news narrative and emotional communication;strengthening news photography needs to be alert to the pan-visualization trap. |
