The economic and cultural exchanges between China and Japan were very close in the Tang Dynasty.Under this background,Bai Juyi’s poems had been introduced into Japan before his death. His poems were widely spread in Japan and highly respected by Japanese literati due to their smooth, plain and simple language. At the same time,in the Japanese literary circle during the Heian Dynasty, there appeared a number of excellent female writers and female literary works, whose creation was also influenced by Bai’s poems, such as Murasaki Shibu and her Tale of Genji."The Tale of Genji" has more than100 white poems, among which the Song of Everlasting Regret is the most accepted. However, although Murasaki Shibe has a very deep foundation of Chinese studies and attaches great importance to the absorption of Chinese literature, she always maintains the consciousness of her own national culture in her creation. She can use white poetry sentences for her own creation on the basis of internalization, and combines "Bai Juyi’s poems" with "harmony soul".At present, the researches on the influence of Bai Juyi’s poems on the Japanese literary circle in the Heian Period are fruitful, but the researches on the influence of Song of Everlasting Regret on the Tale of Genji are still relatively limited. Therefore,on the basis of summarizing the achievements of predecessors, this paper mainly uses literature research method and comparative research method to explore the dissemination of Bai Juyi’s poems in the Heian Dynasty of Japan. This paper focuses on the comparison of the acceptance of the Song of Everlasting Regret by the Tale of Genji, not only analyzes the reference of the poem and plot of the Song of Everlasting Regret by the Tale of Genji, but also explores the thematic differences between the two works and the internal factors that cause the differences. The thesis consists of six parts. The introduction part introduces the background of the topic, the purpose and significance of the research, and the prior research. The first chapter introduces the general situation of the ancient cultural exchanges between China and Japan and the spread of Bai Shi Collected Works in Japan. The second chapter analyzes the causes and characteristics of the formation of Japanese female literature in the Heian Period,as well as the acceptance of Bai Juyi’s poetry by essay literature and diary literature, and introduces Murasaki Shibe and her work Genji Tale. The third chapter analyzes and studies the influence of Bai Juyi’s creative thoughts on the Tale of Genji, the reference of the poem and the plot of the Song of Everlasting Regret by the Tale of Genji with the method of comparative literature research, and summarizes the two accepting characteristics of the poem: the weak allegorical character when the poem is used and the changeable character image when the plot is used. The fourth chapter is a comparative analysis of the thematic differences between the Tale of Genji and The Song of Everlasting Regret,an in-depth exploration of the reasons why the Tale of Genji is less allegorical than the Song of Everlasting Regret, and a summary of two factors of different writing backgrounds and different literary thoughts of the two authors. The conclusion summarizes the content of this paper, analyzes the shortcomings of this paper and puts forward the future research direction. In today’s world with increasingly close economic and cultural exchanges, studying the overseas dissemination of Bai Juyi’s poems is of great significance. It is not only conducive to promoting the external dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese literary works and enhancing the influence of Chinese culture in the world, but also conducive to studying Chinese classical literary works from multiple perspectives and digging deeply into their intrinsic value.Make it play a more important role in the cultural exchange between China and foreign countries.
