| Zhao Wangyun,as the pioneer of Chinese painting innovation in the 20 th century,blazed a trail for the establishment and development of the "Chang ’an School of Painting",showing the new appearance of traditional Chinese painting and representing the highest level of modern and contemporary painting in northwest China.Zhao Wangyun adhered to the creative concept of "painting the scene oneself in",and traveled around the country to sketch,among which the theme of landscape painting and creation in northwest China.This paper focuses on the Qilian Mountain theme landscape paintings in Northwest China,which connect Zhao Wangyun’s experience and painting style in different stages of his life.This paper takes Zhao Wangyun’s sketching paintings in the Qilian Mountains over the years as the research object,starting from its background,artistic activities,styles,ideas and other contents,to analyze and explore the artistic propositions and creative ideas of the "Chang ’an School of Painting".By organizing the social background and artistic activities of Zhao Wangyun before and after sketching in the Qilian Mountains,this paper summarizes his five sketching experiences in the Qilian Mountains,and finds that his painting style has changed from simple and straightforward to vigorous and profound,and at the same time,he has shown many innovations and new styles in composition,modeling and color.In the translation of vocabulary,Zhao Wangyun’s works with Qilian Mountain as the theme fully reflect the "Chang ’an School of painting","art for life","one hand toward tradition,the other hand toward life" and other creative ideas,reflecting the "Chang ’an School of painting" rooted in the people,rooted in life.At the same time,through the analysis of Zhao Wangyun’s sketching works with Qilian Mountain as the theme,and comparing them with other works of "Chang ’an School of Painting" painters,it is found that Zhao Wangyun’s pioneering and epoch-making characteristics are reflected both in terms of pen and ink vocabulary and form skills.Moreover,as far as the painters in Shaanxi Province are concerned,their works also show the residual of Zhao Wangyun’s painting to varying degrees.Of course,Zhao Wangyun’s sketching views and painting forms are also of great benefit to the author’s landscape painting creation.Combining with his sketching experience in Qilian Mountains and the creation process of "Qilian Mountain Scenery",the author discusses the inspiration and significance of this study to his own artistic practice. |
