A Study Of Literary Trends In The New Media Perspective

In the era of intelligent communication,a new medium based on digital technology and the Internet has emerged,which serves as an important engine driving the transformation and upgrading of contemporary Chinese literature,and has facilitated the emergence of new literary forms.From an ontological perspective,the medium of computer networks has fundamentally transformed the way literature exists,giving rise to new media literature primarily based on the internet,and changing the traditional single medium of print literature to a coexistence of new media and print literature.Under the dual influence of information technology and the development laws of literature,the mode of literary activities has been reshaped,and the trends of literary development have changed,such as the significant improvement of the status of readers,the transformation of the professional status of writers,changes in the form of literary criticism,and the fragmentation of the unified literary scene into multiple literary scenes.This article takes the current era of new media as the background and defines the existence form of literature through its medium,analyzing the survival status and development trends of two kinds of literature.At the same time,it provides an overall description of literature in the new media era and analyzes how these two forms of literature can be integrated and developed,attempting to provide some suggestions for the development of contemporary literature.The article is divided into four main parts:The introduction section provides an overview of the cultural background of the study,defines several concepts,and reviews research both domestically and abroad.In the first chapter of the main text,using Miller’s "the end of literature" as a starting point,the survival status of contemporary literature is analyzed,leading to the decline of print literature and the rise of new emerging literary forms,which is the new media literature.The second chapter explores the literary situation of print literature being squeezed in the new era.The third chapter explains the new development trends of literature in the environment of new media,including the characteristics of new media literature and the development status of print literature.The fourth chapter focuses on the overall characteristics of literature in the new media background and how it will develop in the future,including how print literature can be integrated and developed with new media literature,how new media literature can be improved and developed,and how new media criticism systems can be sound.
