| Anxiety,as a widely concerned psychological concept,also has a very important impact on the educational discipline.Both teaching and learning involve complex psychological activities,and research on anxiety is very helpful for future teaching.At present,there are many studies on foreign language learning anxiety,and the research scope is relatively comprehensive.However,there is still room for research on the reading anxiety of Chinese as a second language learners in a non-target language environment.The author found in teaching practice that Chinese reading anxiety does not only appear in elementary Chinese level students,but also in intermediate and advanced level Chinese learners.Therefore,research on Chinese reading anxiety of intermediate and advanced level learners in a non-target language environment will be helpful for the teaching of local Chinese reading.This paper adopts the method of combining questionnaires and interviews,taking Chinese learners of intermediate and advanced level in the Confucius Institute at Novosibirsk State Technical University in Russia as the research objects,and discusses their Chinese reading anxiety and the causes of anxiety.The introduction of this paper mainly expounds the research origin,research ideas,research methods and theoretical basis of the paper,focusing on the concept of foreign language reading anxiety;the second chapter is the design and implementation of questionnaires and interviews.The third chapter discusses the reading anxiety and the causes of the middle and advanced level learners of the Confucius Institute at the New Western University of Technology.The environment is the main reason.The fourth chapter summarizes the research results and puts forward corresponding suggestions for future teaching.After investigation and analysis,it is found that the Chinese reading anxiety of the intermediate and advanced level learners of the Confucius Institute at Novosibirsk State Technical University is common,and most of them show moderate anxiety.The results of the research on the influencing factors of reading anxiety show that compared with female learners,male learners are more likely to develop reading anxiety due to cognitive factors.Learners with overseas experience have lower reading anxiety than learners without overseas experience.In addition,factors such as learners’ age,Chinese learning time and learning purpose will not affect the learners’ reading anxiety level.The innovation of this paper is firstly to carry out the investigation and research in the country-specific and non-target language environment in terms of the research object.In terms of research content,the distribution of Chinese reading anxiety among intermediate and advanced level learners of the Confucius Institute at New Western Technological University is comprehensively analyzed.However,due to various reasons,the research of this paper still has shortcomings such as incomplete analysis of teaching forms and incomplete research on the causes of reading anxiety. |
