Czech composer Leos Janacek(1854-1928)is one of the most famous Czech composers in the 20 th century.The piano essay collection "In the Fog" composed of four pieces has a distinct national character.This paper mainly analyzes the reasons for the formation of Yanacek’s national feelings,and analyzes the national characteristics contained in In the Fog from the music noumenon from the aspects of melody,rhythm and mode.Janacek had a great influence on Czech folk music and promoted the development of Czech nationalist music and world music in the 20 th century.
