Leos Janacek(1854-1928),a Czech Slavic composer living at the turn of the century,has been exploring and innovating on the road of national music and modern theory all his life.Together with Bedich Smetana(1824-1884)and Antonn Dvok(1841-1904),he is known as the "three masters" of Czech music.His music works are diverse in genre and wide in scope,but most of the excellent and successful music works were written in the decades after his life.Taras Bulba and the Little Symphony are the orchestral works with the characteristics of the times created by Anachek after the 19 th century European Revolution and the first World War in the 20 th century,after accumulating a lot of musical experience.These two Orchestral Works unreservedly show the composer's affection for the country and the nation.In the specific creation,the composer not only retains the characteristics of Czech folk music and some techniques of European traditional music,but also absorbs the multi-dimensional thinking of modern music creation techniques.This article will take these two orchestral works of Yanachek as the medium,analyze and discuss their creation background,music characteristics,nationality and modernity,excavate and discover the linguistic charm of Yanachek's orchestral works,hoping to get inspiration from national music to the world by showing the style of music at the turn of the century.
