Vsevolod Petrovich Zadratsky(December 21,1891 – February 1,1953)was a Russian composer.I and my works were "hidden" in the long history of music development in the 20 th century and only began to be discovered in the early 21 st century.Today, his works are considered one of the outstanding works of art in the first half of the 20 th century.Zadratsky’s piano works from the 1920 s and early 1930 s should be considered as part of the first wave of avant-garde music in Russia. In the era of radical anti Romantic rule,Zadratsky may have been the first person in European art practice to declare neoromanticism.Abandoning the principle of third chord structure and transitioning from traditional tonal principles to free twelve tone free tonality. In the 1940 s,his works maintained the main direction of the style he discovered, shifting towards personalized melodies, sound and color of chords, complex beats(even composite beats),and fixed bass principles. These characteristics are reflected in "24 Preludes and Fugues".The paper mainly focuses on Zadratsky’s "24 Preludes and Fugues",studying the creative characteristics, technical connotations, and stylistic features of Fugues. This study is divided into four chapters. The first chapter provides an overview of Zadratsky and his music creations;Chapter 2 summarizes and analyzes the fugue creation techniques of Zadratsky’s "24 Preludes and Fugues";Chapter three is an analysis of the technique of fugue polyphony;Chapter 4 summarizes the characteristics of his fugue writing and polyphonic techniques.Exploring and studying how Zadratsky integrated traditional, modern, and ethnic music forms to create preludes and fugues.
