| This paper focuses on Xie’s surviving "Changxingxingzhai Diary" and "Changxingxingzhai calligraphy and painting Preface and postscript" and other information to Xie’s appreciation activities to summarize.The paper focuses on the following sections of Xie’s painting and calligraphy collection:First of all,by sorting out the background of Xie Lansheng’s time,his family’s education and his life and friends,analysis of the causes and history of Xie Lansheng’s collecting activities;Secondly,through the "Changxingxingzhai Diary" "Changxingxingzhai calligraphy and painting Preface and postscript" to sort out the source and content of Xie Lansheng’s appreciation of the works;Again comparing with contemporaries Sun Chengze and Wu Rongguang,analyzing the similarities and differences between Xie Lansheng as a calligrapher and professional collectors in their approaches to painting and calligraphy identification,and delving into Xie’s aesthetic standards and interests;Finally,it summarizes Xie Lansheng’s ideas of collection and appreciation and makes a comprehensive evaluation of his collection and appreciation activities,for restoring a real Xie Lansheng as a connoisseur. |
