A Study On The Construction And Expression Of Emotions In A Growing-up Youth Documentary

Growth documentary is a documentary that captures the inner activities and thinking logic of teenagers at this stage and takes teenagers aged from 10 to 19 years old as shooting subjects.The teenage years are the best memories for every living individual,so exploring the psychological activities and emotional changes of teenagers has become the core content of growth documentaries about teenagers.On the basis of exploring the relationship between emotional construction and growth-oriented youth documentaries,this paper explores the emotional construction logic and film expression techniques of growth-oriented youth documentaries from three aspects: the subject of emotional construction,the way of emotional construction and the audio-visual expression of emotional construction.The first chapter of the thesis introduces the research background of the emotional construction of the growth documentary of teenagers,and on this basis,comprehensively reviews the current domestic and foreign research,and puts forward the relevant problems of this study.The second chapter mainly defines the concept of youth documentary about growth,summarizes the relevant theories of emotion construction and expression,and summarizes the core of emotion construction and expression.The third chapter studies the emotional constructors of growth documentaries of teenagers from the perspectives of characters,directors and audiences,and discusses the functions of three kinds of subjects in the emotional construction process of documentaries.In the fourth chapter,based on the above theories and related works,the author mainly analyzes the emotional construction methods of growth documentaries for teenagers from three aspects: the type of narrative structure,the multi-level narrative perspective and the plot of strengthening empathy.The fifth chapter mainly from the visual and auditory aspects,combined with the graduation work "I am Not a child" and the excellent growth of youth documentary works in recent years,explore the growth of youth documentary emotional construction expression.Finally,the paper summarizes the full text and looks forward to the possibility of the creation of youth documentary about growth in the future under the new media environment.This paper combines growth documentaries with emotion construction and expression for analysis,providing a new way to think about how to improve the level of documentary creation through emotion,and also enriches the practical experience of emotion construction theory to a certain extent,providing material support for emotion construction and expression to open up new forms in the field of youth documentaries.
